So Jrue was definitely traded and knows already. Saw this personal chef on instagram and she?s in Jrue?s kitchen lol. Look at the video and this pic from the listing that he bought.. same kitchen.

TL;DR: Some random personal chef posted it was her "last day of cheffing for a Celtics player in Boston" and people are noticing she's in Jrue's kitchen. Could mean a lot of things (she's doing another job, it was a temporary gig, etc.) but one option is Jrue is moving.

Lol, I did not and will not dive deep into this, but my assumption was the picture of the kitchen from Realtor.com meant that the house was just listed. That, in conjunction with the social media chef's claim might add some weight that Jrue is already moving somewhere.

Unless Jrue is being traded in a trade involving Indy or OKC there would be no reason the trade hasn't been announced,  so I'm guessing he hasn't been traded yet.

I still don't see them trading Jaylen or White. I really don't. Jrue and Hauser will definitely get moved. The question to me is Porzingis. That's still up in the air. Idk what kind of offers they are getting for him or if the C's can get creative with him.

I will say regardless, they HAVE to get another PF/C. Sorry but even if you keep KP and Kornet, they can't just rely on this group and a 39 year old Horford alone. Get a developmental PF/C in the draft or maybe add one via trade.

Yeah I think the ideal path for us is to trade Holiday + 28 in exchange for a playable big making less than 15 mil with the rest of the money going to a 3rd team.

Just hard to find that deal out there right now.

Because you can't stretch a contract to keep a player and Jrue's a nice guy but he's not an idiot.  A player can be bought out of his contract so that he could go play for another team but he isn't going to give up much money to do so.  For cap purposes, a bought-out contract can be stretched to 2 times the contract length plus 1 year.  Jrue's remaining 104M over 3 years could be stretched to be a ~15M dead weight cap hit over the next 7 seasons.  Celts would be paying him until he is 42.  Buyout and stretch is an absolute last move and if you were going to do it you'd buyout and stretch KP which would be a 10M dead weight cap hit over 3 years.

You are right I took stretch literally, I did not know it was waive and stretch.  I was thinking we keep Jrue and pay him a few years after he retires.

I agree with this assessment.  Holiday and Hauser in my mind are the most likely to be traded.  I think both have value.  I don't think it will have to be a pure salary dump.  We should be able to get back some value, and if that came in the form of a PF, that would be ideal.

The reports are that teams are asking about Brown and White but that BOS would only trade either for a huge package in return, a Bane deal being the floor (and that was a really good package for MEM).  Some team might get crazy and I would be fine with BOS taking a crazy good deal for either, but I don't see it as likely.

As to Porzingis, I feel he remains valuable to the team, for next season (2025-26) and beyond.  As with Brown and White, if some team goes crazy and offers a haul for Porzingis, fine, but I see that as really unlikely.  I see him on the team for 2025-26 and maybe with an extension (for less than his current).

The excitement of bringing KD here with the Jays (and DW and PP) would be great. It creates a championship window of two to three years assuming KD holds up and JT comes back as JT.  But is that the best Phoenix can do?

2. The team is not going to know this week when tatum will be back
3. I don?t believe for 1 second we are looking into trading for KD
4. We can kinda trade multiple players in multi-team deals provided we only send 1 player to each team and from the Celtics perspective the trades can be reported to the league as individual trades(ie we can report a 3 team deal to the league as 2 2-team deals even if the other 2 teams involved report it as a single 3 team deal
5. Yes to get under apron 2 and take KDs salary and stay under apron 2 this could be accomplished with Hauser KP and Jrue. Im actually not certain how the cap holds work here but even if they must be retained we could keep Kornet

Yes, if at the end of the trade, which could include renouncing players with cap holds, we are under the second apron, then we can send as many players out in a deal as we could find teams to take them on.  This would also hard cap us at the second apron so we would be limited in trying to resign people like Horford or Kornet.

Right now, the potentially impactful cap holds that we have (per Spotrac) are Horford ($18.3), Kornet ($2.3) and Craig ($2.3).  So in order for something like this to work, as I understand the rules, is we would either have to renounce Horford or have signed him to a much smaller deal than the hold.  Once Horford is renounced, he is like any other FA.  We can't use Bird rules or anything like that.

Also, if we traded away 3 players and only got back 1, we would be down to just 10 players on the roster so there would be "incomplete roster" holds and maybe a hold for our first round pick.  It is really hard to say where we stand due to the number of varaiables.
