The next order of business in Boston is trading Kristaps Porzingis, sources said. As he enters the final year of his contract, Porzingis has drawn interest from several teams in both conferences. The Pelicans, Golden State Warriors, Los Angeles Lakers, Atlanta Hawks, and Toronto Raptors are a few of the 10-12 teams that have been in contact with the Celtics recently, sources said.

We knew Pelicans, Warriors, Lakers.

Raptors and Hawks seem new.

Hawks is interesting. Hadn't thought of them. Frankly I don't know what they would offer for him, but most any salary they have are players I like (excluding Niang).

But the Raptors are a pretty obvious choice on this. They desperately need shooting at the 5 to open the court for their other guys. Again though, unless Barrett is going to a third team who is sending us draft capital, I don't understand that trade.

seems like another case of someone with no inside knowledge of the C's is just speculating what the C's next move 'should' be.  They supposedly want to keep him which makes sense if they can flip Simons for someone cheaper to get under that apron.  C's are going to lose one of Al and Kornet if not both so moving Zinger leaves them really skimpy at the 5.  Zinger is a difference maker when healthy but that's the whole key to having him.

A (reasonably) healthy Zinger in 2 years with a healthy Tatum, Brown, White and PP is a contender.  Hopefully Brad can fill in around them with good support.

Move KP out Boston has no functional bigs.

Have resign Al and probably Kornet. Queta would be a regular. Yikes.

You mean like the last two seasons and playoff runs? Seemed to work out ok.

Still, I get your point. I'd like to get a young big to continue to build around.

Have to think if they keep their picks they take a big.

KP was healthy this year.  Just the [dang] virus thing.  I still think it would be a bad idea to move him.  I hope they don't.

Jrue Holiday could be the first domino to fall for salary slashing Boston. Sam Hauser, a 40-plus percent three-point shooter, has generated strong interest. Hauser will begin a four-year, $45 million extension next season.

Hopefully if Hauser is getting strong interest we can package him and the 28 pick to move up into the teens.  Derek Queen would be a great pick if they can move up and grab him.  I like the pairing with Zinger.

I?m good with moving Hauser, but that still doesn?t get them under the second apron if I understand it correctly. What would be next?

Boston is only a layover for Simons.  He will be moved for someone who makes another $5-7 million less, and that player may be moved as well.  Brad has months to get down to the salary level he wants.

Prior to the Bane Trade,  I was hoping we would flip him for Wendall Carter after July 1st but that ship has sailed.

As they should.  Jaylen Brown is a top-20 player, still on the right side of 30, has a history of strong playoff performance, and is under contract for four more years.  A trade for him should be massive, far exceeding what the Grizzlies just got for Bane.

Two key guys in our championship are now gone. We are under the 2nd apron. What will Brad do next? Will he try to get JB and DW some help or will he trade them too and go on a full rebuild? Will JB and DW want to stay and play for a middling team? Will Brad go after Giannis? This is a wild off season. The NBA needs to review their cap rules. We?re getting punished for having a brilliant GM. Ugh.
