That injury is a serious injury, Wilkins told the Globe this week. And Jayson had the same type of injury I had, meaning he had a complete tear because there is no way you could walk off the floor. That?s a devastating injury but the thing is the work he puts in is going to determine what he gets out of it. I worked twice a day every day for nine months and came back quicker than anybody. But it was my level of commitment and Jayson is a kid that loves the game and I have a lot of respect and am a fan of his. I have no doubt that he?s going to put in the work to get back to the same level he was.

Wilkins said he did not lose a step after the rehabilitation process. In the season after the Achilles tear, he played in 71 of 82 games and his offensive numbers were similar to his numbers pre-injury. Yet, the primary difference in Wilkins?s game was his improved 3-point shooting. After shooting 29 percent in the season he was injured, Wilkins boosted his percentage to 38 and he attempted more threes than in his previous two years. I thought I would lose something but I came back a better and more all-around player, he said. That was because of the work I put in and I wanted to prove all the doubters wrong. I learned how to play the game more on the ground. When you have an injury like that, it forces you to go to other aspects of the game to be as effective. I put other things in my game so one guy still wasn?t going to guard me.

Wilkins said the process of regaining faith in yourself is the biggest hurdle in rehabilitation. The one doubt that?s in your mind is if I turn the wrong way or come down wrong, will this thing go on me again Wilkins said. I just had to get the [fear] out of my head. That?s what you have to do. And I had my best all around season after that [in 1992-93]. Wilkins said he was in a walking boot for 10 weeks before he began his rehabilitation and spent that time working on his upper body. He returned stronger and eventually gained the confidence in his body through rehabilitation.

Is this Dominique Wilkins?

Sports Illustrated?s Chris Mannix said the Celtics would like to hang on to Porzingis if the price is right next year.

I?ve also heard, We?re going to nibble around the fringes, Mannix said during a recent episode of the KOC show. If you want Jrue Holiday, you can have him. Porzingis, I think is available, but they?d like to get Porzingis back long-term at a lower price point on his next deal.

Porzingis?s deal is set to expire at the end of next season. He will make $30.7 million. The Celtics are around $20 million above the second apron threshold.

I don't believe a word Mannix says. I seriously think he just makes things up.

That said, it sounds like KP has negative value right now so trading him at this moment wouldn't make sense. And Jrue is a guy who brings a winning culture with him so a young team that wants to level up (like Houston, San Antonio, maybe even Detroit) could easily talk themselves into him being worth the cost.

But I wouldn't be surprised by anything.

I would be surprised if KP has *negative* value, but I do think it's pretty neutral.  As in, a team might offer expiring contracts and a couple of second rounders.  And, for that return, the team is better off keeping him.

Chalk this up as "fun off-season fodder" but I came across this tweet suggesting Jrue already knows he's traded due to some serious internet sleuthing.

So Jrue was definitely traded and knows already. Saw this personal chef on instagram and she?s in Jrue?s kitchen lol. Look at the video and this pic from the listing that he bought.. same kitchen.

That steal vs Indy was clutch big dog. Wish you the best

TL;DR: Some random personal chef posted it was her "last day of cheffing for a Celtics player in Boston" and people are noticing she's in Jrue's kitchen. Could mean a lot of things (she's doing another job, it was a temporary gig, etc.) but one option is Jrue is moving.

Mods feel free to delete my two posts if these don't meet the standard of post quality! Just thought it was a fun addition while we wait for the draft to approach.

Nothing wrong with posting this.  As you say, could mean a lot of things.  Even if Jrue knew he was already traded (which I doubt) why would he let his Chef go yesterday?  It is not like he is going to move to the new city tomorrow.  And this may not even actually be Jrue's chef, although that part is at least plausible.

Im sure teams are throwing crazy offers for guys like Jaylen brown and Derrick White. But it will take a pretty insurmountable package to get those guys out of Boston

Not exactly news, but still

I like the idea of crazy offers. Remember, there is the the possibility of a good lottery pick followed by the return of a superstar if Brad goes full rebuild.  Idk - I love the Jays and expected a few more contending years with them, but crazy offers has a nice ring to it.

Lol - what is a team forum for if its not to post wild possible conspiracies/breaking news like this? I think we all take it with a grain of salt, but still.

Could it simply be she's leaving to go be Zion's personal chef?  :P

He is not saying crazy good or crazy bad but the deal for Desmond Bane was crazy in my mind.  I think White and Brown are better than Bane so maybe there are crazy good deals being offered.  I have my doubts but there is a point where I would trade either.  I just doubt that anyone would come even close to that point.

To me, 'crazy offers' need to include a boatload of first-round picks, playable role-players who can supply offense and defense, and a top 3 pick for Derrick White, and def a top 2 pick for Jaylen Brown.

Or if it starts with Giannis or Jokic, those are crazy offers too.

I still don't see them trading Jaylen or White. I really don't. Jrue and Hauser will definitely get moved. The question to me is Porzingis. That's still up in the air. Idk what kind of offers they are getting for him or if the C's can get creative with him.

I will say regardless, they HAVE to get another PF/C. Sorry but even if you keep KP and Kornet, they can't just rely on this group and a 39 year old Horford alone. Get a developmental PF/C in the draft or maybe add one via trade.
