At some point you have to blame the performance on the court on the players on the court. Every loss is not the coach's fault and every win isn't because of the players.

So Jaylen Brown reposted the graphic of him having 0 assists and 43 fg attempts his last 2 games- currently on his Instagram story. Is he trying to be funny? Is he proud of it? This is really adding fuel to my Jaylen hate- even if he’s trying to be ironic.

Why does it fuel your hate when you don’t know his intent? In the absence of actual information you can presume anything you want - why not presume he’s posting as a motivator for himself rather than presume he’s making light of a bad statistic?

Did you actually see what he posted? He captioned it with something to the effect of telling them to watch the game.  I actually didn’t get to watch the game but I’ve heard a lot about him passing but guys hitting shots.  If that’s the case, I agree it’s a stupid graphic for ESPN to post

Porzingis (calf) was a full participant during Wednesday's practice and participated in a 5-on-5 scrimmage with coaches following the session, Souichi Terada of The Springfield Republican reports.

Doc Rivers on leaving Celtics to join Clippers: 'I regret it every day'

While he had his teams in the playoffs, he never returned to a championship opportunity like he had with the Celtics. Rivers does occasionally think of what could have been had had he remained in Boston. “I regret it every day,” Rivers admitted. “It was the right move for me at the time. Nine years at one place. We were going to rebuild. I look back on that all the time. My life would have been so much smoother if I had stayed where I was at. … You don’t look back and I don’t, but I regret that at times, for sure.”  – via Tim Crowley @ NESN.com

I feel like this is one of those quotes that sounds perfectly find in the context of the conversation, but it's just kind of a mess while reading it. He regrets it every day, his life would have been smoother, but it was the right move at the time and he regrets it at times?

"...unceasingly we are bombarded with pseudo-realities manufactured by very sophisticated people using very sophisticated electronic mechanisms. I do not distrust their motives; I distrust their power. They have a lot of it."

sounds like he's rationalizing the decision by saying he thought it was the right one at the time, but to this day he has doubts that it actually was.

i have trouble picturing Doc making it through the rebuild that Brad did. i think he made the right decision, even if he knows he wouldn't have been fired twice had he stayed. he might not shoulder the same blame that he does now by failing in LA and Philly.

Rivers has always been really high on himself and seems to think he is in the category of someone like pops. I think he is a lot closer to average. He has some high win totals but also coached a ton of great players in his career. Aside from Orlando and some early time with Boston his teams were always considered championship contenders no matter who would have been coaching them.

Could be. I think it depends a bit on how Philly ends up shaking out. Chris Paul and Blake, for instance, never really did much better away from Doc.

to be clear, i'm not saying Doc was the reason LA or Philly didn't win a title. but he has shouldered the blame (fired twice) for both teams that fans and others thought were title contenders for multiple seasons. if Philly falls apart and never wins without Doc, I don't think it changes his doubts about leaving Boston.
