PJ Washington through three rounds

WCR1 vs Pelicans = 10.8ppg 5.3rpg 42% FG% 31% 3PT%
WCSF vs OKC = 17.7ppg 8.3rpg 48% FG% 47% 3PT%
WCF vs Wolves = 12.2ppg 6.4rpg 38% FG% 25% 3PT%

PJ Washington has only had 1 good series out of 3 on the offensive end of the court. Streaky player and bad more often than good on the offensive end.

And now he’s probably going to have to guard Tatum

The less we see of Draymond, the better. Inside is still one of the legit best shows imo, and it sucked seeing him guest on it pretty much the entire playoffs.

He can have his podcast or be on any other show coz I can ignore that. But man, stay off Inside the NBA!

4 categories.

He is also leading in FGM, FGA, 3PTM, 3PTA, FTM, FTA.

We get it…he’s good offensively. Just think Boston can slow him down enough.

Why do we bother tracking totals when it comes to individual playoffs?  He’s probably also played the most games.  Also, we already know he’s a great offensive player.  The key is going to be to make him have to work on the defensive end, which the Wolves failed to do

Yup, the top two in minutes this postseason are Doncic (705) and Kyrie (684). For reference, Tatum is 6th with 567, basically 3 fewer full games than Doncic. If course Doncic is leading in raw counting stats.

But you don't get extra credit for playing 3 more games and 138 more minutes than your opponents. You just get tired.
I'm bitter.

SF/SG- Tatum, Brown, Hayward, Smart, Semi, Clark

The Celtics proved this season that he can have an amazing night and still lose...twice...and once in magnificent fashion. That alone makes me feel better about the series.

I think you can live with Luka averaging 30-35 PPG in the whole series. What you can't live with though is allowing him to also make assists all over the floor to give the other guys open shots AND Kyrie averaging more than 25 PPG as well. Then it becomes way more difficult.

I think the strategy needs to be physical defense, but also neutralizing Kyrie and the other non-Doncic players. That goes hand in hand. If you make Luka think a lot and pressure him into thinking he has to put up 40+ each game to have a chance, that bodes well for us.

Frankly, I think LAC and MIN didn't do a good job of this, they basically let Luka dictate everything on offense and barely made adjustments. They also didn't attack Doncic on defense either, they allowed Kidd to hide him. OKC did a better job of this and they probably were the toughest series DAL has faced, even Kyrie admitted that after the series. Boston has way more individual defenders AND shooters on the team, it'll be even tougher.

that is because those teams couldn't do that. Not the right players at least once Kawhi went down.

Kyrie averaged 15ppg with SGA defending him against OKC. Wonder if jrue/white can affect him similarly?

he did shoot 42.3% from 3.  He only took 84 shots in the 6 game series.

Draymond is a thug and should just get lost

I am surprised this doesn't happen with Shaq also. He insults star players regularly. Telling Jokic he didn't deserve MVP, SGA did. Telling Donovan Mitchell he is not a superstar / franchise player.

If I was a star player, I wouldn't bother doing any interviews with TNT where Shaq was involved. All he does is throw shade on other people.

I agree. Shaq has gotten really condescending. When Chuck does it, it’s definitely light-hearted and jovial.

I hope the new network picks up EJ (although unlikely with his ties to Turner), Kenny, and Chuck… but not Shaq. He really doesn’t add anything other than back and forth with Charles. Almost no insight, can’t articulate what he’s thinking.

And obviously Draymond should stick to his podcast or whatever.

Shaq was negative all season. Very combative. Just really was a downer on the show.
