That is a pretty good bench if Hayward can play well.  That seems like where the question lies.  I think it is a good chance to take for OKC.  Their cap situation allows them to absorb his contract without causing too much damage.  In this role, they won't need a whole lot from him, probably less than 20 min.  If he can provide some consistent scoring and veteran presence, it will be very valuable.

I love to see OKC going for it. They will be a tough out in the West come playoff time.

So far so good for the Mavs since their trade.  Gifford played 17mins and had 19/9. In 24 mins, PJ Washington had 14/5. Dallas beat OKC 146-111.

Spanked by Dallas today. Dallas looks really good picking up Washington and Gafford.

Wonder if Brad tried to get Washington.  Would have been a great scoring forward off the bench. I'm skeptical Hauser can fulfill that role especially in the playoffs. If his 3 point shot isn't falling, he is pretty benign out there.

No, Brad never tried to get Washington, at least since last year’s deadline.  We had no way to add him.

Fontecchio had a nice debut for the Pistons. Watching the highlights, he would have been a nice fit for the Celtics i think. Just not sure if he’d get as much playing time (he logged in 32 mins for the Pistons).

Yeah, I think he wouldn't get the playing time he needs here to develop. Also, he doesn't currently bring anything that we don't get from other guys on the roster who are better defenders and have more experience.

Obviously Embiid is out but man I can barely recognize this Sixers roster outside of the few obvious names (Maxey, Harris, Oubre). KJ Martin? Ricky Council IV?? Huh...?

Looks like Ben Simmons started at PG for Brooklyn with Dinwiddie gone. They brought Schroder off the bench. The Nets started Cam Thomas as well in the backcourt.

So presumably Cam Thomas defended the point, Mikal the SG, DFS the SF and Ben the PF. With Ben running the point on offense, Cam and Mikal on the wings and DFS spotting up in a corner.

Klay Thompson isn’t finishing games for the Warriors. They are going with the rookie Podziemski.
