Grizzlies' Ja Morant will undergo season-ending surgery for a labrum tear in shoulder.

Woah. Season-ending injury. And he just came back too. Unfortunate.

That is awful. Memphis were just getting it together as well. Now it is over for them.

At least they'll get a high lotto pick to add to their core of Morant, JJJ and Bane. Give them an improved shot at a title run down the road.

Draymond said on his podcast Silver talked him out of retirement. Dang it Silver, why?

Sorry but I don't believe Draymond. He's just acting like the victim despite all the stuff he's done and using his podcast as a platform to do so. He even said that Kerr and him both "cried" after the suspension. Come on...  ::)

A lot of this also felt somewhat scripted by the league to make Draymond look better and to justify his reinstatement.

Not falling for it. He isn't changing based on just 3-4 weeks away

I was watching an old Tracy McGrady game from his last season with the Magic. When they won something like 20 games and lost 60. He was talking about retirement that season. He was just 25 years old.

Players say stupid stuff when they are upset.

I wouldn't be surprised at all if Draymond did feel like retiring for a brief period during all of this.

That’s a huge hit to the league. Ja is the most exciting player to watch in the NBA, IMO.

At some point you have to blame the performance on the court on the players on the court. Every loss is not the coach's fault and every win isn't because of the players.

I see some people wondering if Memphis will sell off their vets now that Morant is down for the season.

Marcus Smart is the #1 choice to be sold off.

Would they do it though? They’ll be a team to reckon with next year when they’re healthy. Add to that core a potential lottery pick. I think they’ll keep Smart.

for less assets I'm sure.

If I'm the Hawks, I may do it for Keldon Johnson straight up.  Better fit on the roster with Young.
2025 Historical Draft - Cleveland Cavaliers - 1st pick

Bigs - Shaquille O'Neal, Victor Wembanyama
Wings -  Lebron James
Guards - Luka Doncic

He's definitely the most exciting. Probably because at any moment he or one of his thug buddies might turn the basketball court into a shooting range. He's bringing something unique to the table here.
