D Sabonis has triple doubles in 6 of his last 10 games.

Man, imagine the Celtics made a move on Sabonis back in 2021-2022. I remember he was being heavily rumored to go to the C's two years ago. Timelord would have been the outgoing piece, but we had the best season of Timelord that year. And probably the only best season Rob Williams will ever have in his career.

CP3 has a broken bone in his hand.

No word on how long he will be out for. Apparently it varies a lot depending on which bone it is. Average length of absence is around a month but Steph Curry missed 2/3rds of a season with this.

I would expect GSW to be able to replace him fairly well with Gary Payton III back and with Podziemski playing so well. Two good guards to soak up CP3's minutes.

He could’ve had a 60/10 game and still lost last night.  I’m in less awe.

Maxey's been great but I'm not sure if PHI really has that 3rd option. Their bench certainly is better/deeper and they now have Nick Nurse which is why I still believe they are the 2nd best in the East, but if they can't find that 3rd option then idk if they can go far. Tobias Harris actually looked really good for a while but he's been meh lately.

So nice to see the IST champs sitting in the 11th position.

It's not a good sign that Lebron and AD (and also Reaves) are all putting up numbers but they are still losing games, and losing some of them badly. Vanderbilt has also been bad, and while I know he isn't a scorer I do find it surprising that he's playing 18 minutes a night and only averaging 2 points.

They are gonna need a lot of help at the deadline but even then I don't see it. Last year's team could rely on others to fill in and step up. Now they are very reliant on just Lebron + AD.

Cade Cunningham has been much better after a slow start to the season.

First 12 Games

21.3ppg on 40% FG% 30% 3PT% 49.1% TS%
7.3apg against 5 turnovers per game

Next 22 Games

24.2ppg on 47% FG% 37% 3PT% 57% TS%
7.6apg against 3.4 turnovers per game

Cade has been playing much more like the All-Star talent he was expected to be since that slow start. The TS% is still middling (league average is 58%) but his playmaking in addition to his own shot creation and versatile shot making makes him a net positive on offense.

He only takes about a quarter of his FGAs from 3PT range. A so-so FTr of around 25%. He will likely be limited in TS% without upping his 3PT attempts.

Top 10 shooting guard in the league?

There's literally just a 0.5 game difference between the 4th and 8th seeds in the East. That portion of the standings will be chaotic until the end.

All that's gonna matter with Embiid is how he holds up for April, May and June. He had a few great games against the Celtics in the playoff series last year, but he clearly looked gassed by Game 6 and especially Game 7 when they really needed him to close it out.
