i get why they are doing the tournament but as an older guy that court design is brutal. I watched a bunch of the games last night and this morning and the courts are just  :-X
They ought to provide barf bags to game attendees.

OKC robbed against GSW.
Draymond clearly interfered with the lay up of Steph that went in but was not called for offensive interferance..wow.

these Play in games though are makin it more exciting. Clearly both teams wanted to win a an otherwise no bearing game had there not been a Play in tournament.

That was a clear goaltend by Dray. I don’t know if they changed the rules but he certainly had contact there.

I’ve never heard of the rule they cited, but the ball was off the rim before Draymond touched it and I don’t think made further contact with the rim, so I guess that’s why they said the basket was good?  I’ve never heard that called, but not many basket interference calls are reviewed, so perhaps the opportunity to have seen it called before is extremely limited.

I didn’t quite understand it as well. But how many times have we seen goaltending calls simply by touching the board, net, or rim even if the ball had no real chance of going in. It was really a bizzare call.

Yeah, it was absolutely weird.  I’m not sure if they actually got it right because it was so odd, or if they just decided they wanted the Warriors to win.  I suppose it could be both.  Really weird ending to what otherwise was really fun game.

I thought that was an easy call to make. Easy basket interference lol but I guess what do I know? The reason they gave on the floor was that “it didn’t affect the shot”. I’ve never heard that before. Usually goaltend calls are pretty cut and dry (hit the backboard first, ball still above the rim, etc)

This looks more like the Mavs team I know.
Irving is back and they played the Nuggets.  They should trade Irving to the Lakers when they can.
2023 Historical Draft - Brooklyn Nets - 9th pick

Bigs - Pau, Amar'e, Issel, McGinnis, Roundfield
Wings - Dantley, Bowen, J. Jackson
Guards - Cheeks, Petrovic, Buse, Rip

People over at X (twitter) were saying that Giddey actually grabbed the net first, which would merit a defensive interference call. So yeah, maybe Curry’s shot was counted after all, albeit for a different reason.

Yeah, I’ve seen that, but that certainly wasn’t the explanation given by the refs!

Is Dame one of the more overrated players of all time?
I know the bucks are gonna win tonight and all but I truly feared them more with Jrue, and the fact that he is now on our team is so ridiculously sweet

If you want to factor in defense, I’d say yes. I prefer two way players like Jrue. Also, Barrett who is the Knicks 3rd best player was out due to injury and the Bucks barely squeaked out the win tonight.

bucks were between a rock and a hard place sort of. Middleton is basically a role player now, so they needed Lillard's scoring to pick up some of that slack.

problem is they lost all their perimeter defense and lillard is not good at that either. so teams are going to destroy them with guard play.

celtics (who already matched up well with the bucks before) are going to be able to eat their guards alive.

I’m sure the Lakers would love that. Not sure who the Mavs would want from them, unless it was a 3 team trade.

have to be something like Russell, Vincent, Prince for Irving.  Not great, but removes Irving and gets some decent players back on much more manageable contracts.

I feel like Victor Wembanyama is an avenger for every average high school kid who had to play against a future NBA mutant lol

I can only imagine them watching 7’5” Wembanyama toy with their former nemesis.

Suns just lost to the 76ers 100-112. Phoenix is now 2-4, Philly is 4-1. How long until KD asks for a trade?

They still without both Beal and Booker?  KD will wait.

Where would he request a trade to?  Miami?
