Embiid is absolutely cooking Webanyama. Joel has 30pts and there’s 3 mins to go before halftime. Games on NBA TV for anyone interested.
Embiid must have a solid 70lb advantage vs Wemby

I like the lineup that Cleveland has been starting lately

G: Donovan Mitchell
G: Max Strus
F: Okoro
F: Dean Wade
C: Jarrett Allen

No Evan Mobley. No Darius Garland.

That is a mean defensive unit. Without Garland, Mitchell slides down to PG where is defending guys his own size. Max Strus slides down to SG where he is defending guys his own size. In comes Okoro who is a strong defensive SF. Dean Wade is a good defensive PF. And Jarett Allen as the defensive anchor. I love that unit's defense.

Came up with this one

GS - DLo, Prince, Christie (for salary purposes)
LA - Murray, Wiggins
ATL - LA 29 1st, Vincent, Kuminga

GS would do that only if they feel like they need to dump Wiggins and/or he isn't salvageable (saves them a ton of money long term and this year).  Lakers do that if they think they can get something out of Wiggins. Atlanta adds Kuminga and gets the coveted 29 1st.

I don’t understand why in the world the warriors would do this. They already had the russell experience once and did not like it at all.

I think the argument is Russel has 1 year 18 million after this year, Wiggins has 3 years 85 million. If Wiggins is as bad as he's looked moving forward that's a real expensive/bad contract. So maybe the warriors just want to get off that money?

Its not a deal a competeing team makes, but the Warriors may be moving into a new phase of their team.

If the warriors make this trade they should also trade curry and green. Otherwise they will demand it lol

Should have traded Brown for Towns when we had the chance...now he's dominating.

What's crazy is the wolves could very well lose this game.  Down one with three minutes left.

Charlotte is a bad team and I have very little faith they get a win here.  Just interesting that it's so close despite this performance

Pretty bad loss for the Wolves.  Charlotte stinks even when they actually have their bigs.  Missing both of them tonight and stole one because Minnesota went record-chasing.

The Wolves were too busy getting KAT the ball. The coach should be accountable as well.

Absolutely. 35 fgas for KAT compared to only 11 fgas (and only 2 FTs) for Edwards. Inexcusable.

Charlotte one of those teams where they just decide to wake up together and beat a solid team. They did that to Boston, also to the Kings and Wolves. Pacers too if i recall.

Chris Finch was mad during the post game interviews. He said they disrespected the game. Well he’s the coach, he should have benched KAT and Ant when he saw they were acting stupid inside the court. He admitted that KAT was hunting shots and would veer away from the plays. That’s not a good look for both the player and the coach i think.

They also had LaMelo tonight.  They’re like Raptors-level bad when he plays — bad, but you’d better pay attention.  When he’s out their Wizards-level bad.

It wasn’t only the offense not running the plays.  Their defense was awful — I was watching at the end and saw Rozier get past Gobert at the rim multiple times.  Charlotte shot 70% from 2 on the night.

While most of the attention and rumors have surrounded Jerami Grant and Malcolm Brogdon, NBA insider Chris Haynes revealed on his podcast that the team could look to trade Robert Williams III. There are some teams that are pondering making a move for Robert Williams. Now, I know Robert Williams is out for the season … but teams feel like he would be somebody that could get on the cheap right now and allow him to continue recovering, continue rehabbing in hopes that he can blossom back into the Robert Williams that we’ve seen when he was playing at a high level with the Boston Celtics.

Yes. It also shaves several million off this year, which with their tax penalty is massive savings.

To Clay's point, I do think if they did this, it would be a signal that they are also tryung to move Draymond and Klay.  They need a reboot and clearing money is needed to effectively do that.

Maybe the Sixers go all in and they do something like Klay and Dray for Harris, Batum, Covington.

Warriors would only have Curry, Paul, and DLo making more than 10 million next year and Paul and DLo would be expiring.  They'd be able to fairly easily clear max cap room to add a guy to Curry.

Sixers would be going all in this year and would have a nasty starting 5 with Maxey, Melton, Klay, Dray, and Embiid with solid veteran role players on the bench. They'd have their best team and best chance at a title with that group.
2025 Historical Draft - Cleveland Cavaliers - 1st pick
