Bronny James with 5-3-1 and 4 fouls tonight in 15 minutes. He is still on a minutes restriction but would have not played much more cause of fouls either way. USC continued to be the biggest disappointment in college basketball as their other stud recruits have really underperformed

Warriors stink getting blown out at home by heat without butler (I know we have no reason to puff our chests as Celtics fans tonight but at least we woke up).

Out of all the near misses in the draft, Haliburton is definitely the #1.  I've always wondered what it would have taken for Danny to move up two spots in that draft.

I’ve wondered that too.  Halliburton was my guy, and I got several condolence texts from my friends when he went off the board just before our pick.  Even then I’ll admit he’s exceeded my expectations.

Bleugh and then we ended up with Aaron Nesmith who eventually ends up being traded elsewhere down the road.

Ainge definitely hit on the Jays, and Smart + Timelord + GWill to an extent, but he also had a ton of misses particularly with the mid-to-late 1sts. James Young, Nesmith, RJ Hunter, Rozier (outside of that "Scary Terry" 2018 playoff run he was mostly meh), Langford, Mickey, Zizic, Yabusele, and a bunch of others.

Funny enough, I think this has also contributed to GM Brad Stevens' aggressive mindset in making trades and giving up a bunch of 1sts. Brad Stevens the coach had to be fuming seeing other teams make deadline moves and improve their rosters while he had the likes of Langford/Nesmith/Young just toiling in the bench and Ainge hoarding all the picks at the trading deadlines (even 2nd rounders).

Curious if Killian Hayes is the worst player in the league? His shot looked so busted last night and Scal and Gorman were outright laughing at the decisions he was making on the court. Haven’t watched a single second of the Pistons before last night but I can’t believe a player like that was starting at any point which I know he was at the beginning of the year.

Everyone misses on some drafts picks, but Ainge hit on the high picks and on enough of the lower picks to consider his record a great success. The problem imo was when he held on to the guys he missed on too long on the roster and forced Brad to run with a weak bench like you said. When you are building, sure, keep the guys, but when you are trying to contend that doesn't work. Ainge kept trying to both contend and build up assets at the same time, that was his biggest problem.

He's up there.  Many of the advanced metrics have Scoot Henderson and Jordan Poole as #1 and #2 in some order.  Those stats are all kinda busted in various ways, but generally if they agree on something then it's worth noting.

A few of these misses are a bit silly. Jordan Mickey was a second round pick. Neismith is performing above average for a 14 pick and helped us get brogdon. Rozier is a big hit for the 16th pick. I don’t really know what people expect from mid to late first rounders when I read stuff like this. But players like neismith and rozier starting and averaging double figures 3-5 years into their career is very far from the norm for 14 and 16 picks.

Dang, was hoping we could maybe get another game up apiece on Milwaukee and Philly tonight, but both Cleveland and Houston choked at home and couldn't help us out.
