Ravens officially sit Lamar. Pro-bowler Huntley to start against Steelers.  And yes I think it is funny Huntley made the Pro-Bowl last year, so I'm going to keep calling him that.

I'm glad to see Lamar lock up another MVP. He's a great player.

That being said, the pressure is on for Baltimore to win a SB this year. This is the Ravens' best chance, as every other contender can be beat. There are no juggernauts this year-  a bunch of good teams, which opens the door for 8 potentials SB winners.

My contenders ranked:

SF
KC- I'm sticking with Mahomes until Lamar or Allen prove me wrong
Baltimore
Dallas
Miami
Philly
Buffalo
Detroit- I'd honestly be shocked if they won the SB

The only real mistake is the one from which we learn nothing.

Oh yeah no doubt.  Lamar and the Ravens only could ever prove themselves int he playoffs.  Lamar has not played well in his 4 playoff games, he needs to play well, and if he does, the Ravens are going to be hard to beat.  Lamar needs to play well in the playoffs though.  It is his time.  He is no longer in his first 3 years in the league.  Time to play like a MVP when it matters most.

With the way KC has been playing this season, they're not getting past the Divisional Rounds. They might win Wild Card Weekend if they draw a dud team like the Dolphins or Colts. But if they had to draw Buffalo, then they are going one and done.

It's no big secret-- Superbowl Rematch and it'll be 49ers-Ravens.

Dallas I probably won't ignore this year. If their games are played in Jerry World, I'll give them the edge but NFCCG is as far as they'll get. But let's see what Dak Prescott is made of this time, or is he the annual choke artist that we've seen.

Eagles look like they played an easy schedule, coming back to bite them now. No Superbowl for them. I'd like to add Tampa Bay into the mix as my dark horse team. Baker Mayfield, guy is coming together.

No idea what's going to happen in the playoffs until the matchups are finalized.

I did sprinkle some money on BUF +800.  Seems like juicy odds although there's a chance they won't even make the playoffs.

Heard a take I thought was interesting.  Guy said that if Pittsburgh loses Saturday it makes it more likely the Bills beat the Dolphins, but if the Steelers win, it will ramp the pressure up on Buffalo so much, that he thinks they lose to the Dolphins and miss the playoffs.  Basically if they know they are in no matter what they will play more free, but if they have to win to make it in they will play tight and the wheels will fall off and they will lose.  Thought it was an interesting perspective

Ravens add Dalvin Cook.  Kind of dumb he can be signed and play in playoffs given the time of year, but if he has anything left, I'll take it.

This game for Buffalo is massive in a lot of different ways. Even besides the 2 seed vs. missing playoffs, McDermott's job could lowkey be on the line especially if they lose. Josh Allen would get ridiculed hard this offseason if they lose + miss the playoffs (or even if they lose, sneak in but then get wrecked in the wild card round). Buffalo is also gonna be about 40M over the cap by 2024. Sure, they can definitely adjust some contracts or cut/trade others similar to what the Saints did in the late Brees' years, but that's still gonna hurt their roster regardless as they lose more pieces.

It's a huge game for Buffalo and potentially the direction of their franchise. They'll still have Josh Allen so they'll contend but can they keep up with some of these other teams (Niners, Ravens, etc.)

So anyone see Aaron Rodgers' new drama? The jab at Jimmy Kimmel he took about him being on the Epstein list (which btw, he wasn't). Regardless how you feel about Kimmel or the whole Epstein list, that was a pretty insensitive thing for Rodgers to just claim without any evidence. This guy really has become extremely unlikeable, and a chore.

Jets fans can wish for the best, the reality is even if he stays healthy he's just gonna play nonchalant in 2024 and probably continue to be dramatic just like he was late in his Packers career. He's getting his money and the Jets also extended him (lol)

All that talk about him returning from the Achilles and being able to play late in the year, all BS. He just wants the spotlight and was seeking it during this season. Pat McAfee also allows it by letting Rodgers come on every week and apparently even McAfee had to apologize for Rodgers' comments.

All I got to say is, have fun Jets fans. More depression will follow. This guy is a fake. People have said it about Russell Wilson and look, maybe it's true. But Rodgers to me is more of it.

Dolphins will make them fight for it. Dolphins need the home-field advantage for at least the first two rounds. If Bills lose this weekend, then Sean McDermott is getting canned. Especially after multiple playoff exits, controversial media takes this season, and just not doing a stellar job with Josh Allen.

Aaron Rodgers reminds me of the modern day Kyrie Irving. Talented, but too much drama. Not sure why he'd want to play in a conference that has Lamar Jackson, Josh Allen, Patrick Mahomes, Deshaun Watson, Trevor Lawrence, and Tua in it..

I am rooting for him. It is hard for me to believe he is totally washed up at 28. Probably signed into the worst possible situation this past offseason.
