Yeah, that's one of the situations where it's probably fine for the sideline reporter to make something up.

I was certain he'd get fired after they blew that 27-0 lead in the playoffs last season, but somehow he is still coaching. Make no mistake, that team has quit entirely on Staley.

The excuse for last night was because Justin Herbert was injured.

Zero excuse being down 42-0 at half and losing 63-21 to the Raiders. You never allow 63 points to an opponent nevermind 42 in the first half
