Woj saying Oladipo off to OKC for not much, giving Miami a 9.5 mill TPE

Nice. More minutes for D Robinson. I like watching him play.

So far we have:

1. White
2. JB
3. JT
4. Rob
5. KP
6. Malcolm
7. PP
8. Al
9. Brissett
10. Kornet

2 Ways:

1. JD
2. Azubuike

Are we allowed 15 regulars and 3 2 ways?

11. Hauser
12. Champagne (Non-Guaranteed)

That leaves three regular roster spots and 3 2-ways. Grant is still a RFA. I'd imagine Jordan Walsh and JD Davidson would get two of those spots with Begarin and Madar (the overseas stashes) possible as well. Blake could still come back as a deep bench guy as well.

The 6-foot-9 Toppin was the first draft pick of the Leon Rose era, the eighth–overall selection in 2020.

He found himself behind All-Star Julius Randle, in a minor role that never expanded.

Toppin is eligible to sign a rookie-scale extension and the Knicks have not appeared interested in extending him.

The 25-year-old Toppin quickly became a fan favorite because of the energy he brought to the second unit with his eye-popping dunks.

But he never emerged further, his shortcomings as a defender and shot creator limiting him.

Coach Tom Thibodeau resisted playing Toppin — the 2022 NBA Slam Dunk champion — and Randle together, citing the lack of a rim protector as the reason.

I like that Monte Morris trade for DET. They should start him at PG. Probably Ivey at SG and C Cunningham at SF. Bring the Thompson twin off the bench for now. Too much mistake-prone play with the Thompson twin and Ivey starting together.

You hear often how teams at the top of a draft should draft for talent, not for fit.

A good example here of how that can backfire.

Washington Wizards

G: Tyus Jones
G: Jordan Poole, Kispert
F: Deni Advija, B Coulibaly
F: Kuzma, Gallinari
C: D Gafford

Wiz have some respectable depth at SG, SF and PF positions. Appearently there have been no buyout talks with Gallo. That is strange. Maybe they will try and trade him. If they keep him though, that is some solid bench depth 2-4.

They have Delon Wright as well at PG but I believe they are trying to trade him for a 2nd round pick so he probably won't be there much longer. He would be a solid backup PG for them though if they decide to keep him now that Monte Morris is gone.

While true to a point, Julius Randle had yet to become a two-time All-Star when Toppin was drafted.  He was entering his 7th season, coming off his worst season since his second year.

So Milwaukee have lost their backup PG (Jevon Carter), their backup SF (Joe Ingles) and look set to lose their backup SF/PF (Jae Crowder) with no incoming talent to replace them.

Their bench taking a hit early on.

Crowder and Ingles were too old and slow from what I saw....couldn't guard anyone.
