So, why haven't we heard news about a Jaylen Brown supermax yet?

We can’t officially offer it to him until tomorrow.

Ah, good to know. Thanks to both of you!

There’s going to be a good deal of FAs that end up signing for lower MLE/vet min type contracts.

There’s always some that miss out, but I think we’ll see some sign-and-trades come through that create more space for players.  There almost always are.  For instance, the Raptors seem like a good candidate for one if they work out something with Houston in the FVV deal.

What are the Nets doing? Does anyone know?

Trading Harris for peanuts to create an exception seems odd, unless they have a deal in place?

They had to cut salary in order to afford that contract extension for Cam Johnson while still avoiding the luxury tax.

I forget what Cam got. Was it $90mil 4yrs? (edit 4yrs $108mil)

There was talk that DFS or O'Neale may have been available in a cap dump prior to J Harris. I don't know if they need to cut anymore salary or not.

Right, wow, would love either.

Thanks for that. TP.

Not bad 3 and D guy

Spotty on the threes though.  Not sure about the D.

Didn't he hit like 6 vs Boston a year ago? Seems like he can make them. But he gives Boston more length.

Freak, anyone plays like Michael Jordan when they play against Boston. Just ask the Heat and their bunch of nobodies

The Rockets were terrible last year and are clearly a very young team with a long way to go before contending, so I don't understand why they'd pay such a ridiculous amount for VanVleet. What am I missing?

So far we have:

1. White
2. JB
3. JT
4. Rob
5. KP
6. Malcolm
7. PP
8. Al
9. Brissett
10. Kornet

2 Ways:

1. JD
2. Azubuike

Are we allowed 15 regulars and 3 2 ways?

Obi Toppin traded to Indy. Seems like they may be out of the Grant sweepstakes now.

I agree. Van Vleet is good - but he's not that good.

Although the Knicks could now be in it.  Moving Toppin let’s them use the full MLE and stay under the tax.

When was the last time the Knicks got value for a 1st round pick other than Kristaps? (Whose value can be debated for a #4 pick - admittedly New York probably gave up on him too easily, although he wanted out if I remember correctly)

LOL, TP.

I think it's really just about brining elite ball-handling and vet presence for a young core that need to be kept professional. They probably tried for two years, but got squeezed by the agent.

Three years is fine to find another better value PG to go along with their core when they begin their primes and start taking up mega cap space...

Probably won’t be a true TPE, but rather outgoing salary that will be used in the Strus sign and trade.
