Curry should have an additional Finals MVP though, over Iguodala.

Lies!

There are two sides of the ball, muchacho.
Sure and Lebron averaged 35.8 p, 13.3 r, and 8.8 a in that series.  Now his shooting percentage was low, but all of that was more a function of Timofey Mozgov being the 2nd best player on that team after game 1.

Iggy winning that award over Curry was a travesty

Eh.  Lebron had the third lowest FG% of his career in that playoff series.

Quote
When Iguodala was in the game, LeBron James shot 38.1 percent from the field, scoring 26 points per 36 minutes with 2.9 turnovers. With Iguodala on the bench, James shot 44 percent, averaging 35 points per 36 minutes with 2.2 turnovers. With Iguodala as the primary defender, opponents shot 37.2 percent overall, and he gave up free throws the same percentage of time (10.8 percent) that he forced a turnover, via Synergy Sports.

Iguodala:  16.3 points, 5.8 rebounds, 4.0 assists, 52.1% FG%, 40.0% 3PT%

Curry: 26.0 points, 5.2 rebounds, 6.3 assists, 44.3% FG%, 38.5% 3PT%

In that series, Curry basically single-handedly lost GS Game 2, shooting 5-for-23 with 6 turnovers.  Overall, Curry was -4 over the first three games.

Iguodala, meanwhile, had a positive +/- in every game in the series.  With Iggy in the starting lineup, GS went 3-0 and smoked the Cavs.  As a starter:  20.3 points, 7.0 rebounds, 4.0 assists, 0.3 turnovers, 2.0 steals, 3 wins, 0 losses, at least +14 in each game, 1 title stolen from Lebron
all 3 of those games, Curry had a better or same +- than Iggy did though.  Lebron was just tired.  He had no help, Iggy got credit for defending a tired Lebron who carried an awful team to 2 wins (and had they closed out game 1 in regulation and Irving doesn't get hurt in OT, Cleveland wins that series) . Mozgov was the 2nd leading scorer for the Cavs.  JR Smith was 3rd and Tristan Thompson was 4th.  That team without Irving and Love was awful (outside of Lebron obviously).  Curry was the leading scorer by nearly 10 a game. He was the assist leader as well and got 5 boards.  Up to that point in time, the only time a player averaged 25/5/5 for the winning team and did not win Finals MVP was Kobenwhen he was woth Shaq.  Lebron was the best player on the floor, but he was on the losing side, so if you didn't vote for Lebron, it should have been Curry, who was the best player and had the best stats of the winning team.

Lebron's production against Iguodala was down 25% compared to all other defenders because Lebron was tired?

His FG% was down 6% when guarded by Iggy, per what you posted.  Iggy was a great defender, that seems reasonable. Lebron shot just 44% against everyone else. Well below what Lebron does basically every other series, because he was tired.   He had to do so much in that series on both ends and as the series went on, he couldn't physically do it.
2023 Historical Draft - Brooklyn Nets - 9th pick

Bigs - Pau, Amar'e, Issel, McGinnis, Roundfield
Wings - Dantley, Bowen, J. Jackson
Guards - Cheeks, Petrovic, Buse, Rip

Going from 44% to 38% isn't a chance of 6%.  It's more like a 14% decline.  And, his scoring rate was down about 25%.

Wow. I thought he was such a good fit next to Luka. What happened to him? Is he finished? Or did Dallas make a mistake? Does he have something left to offer?

It is about 1.5 extra misses.  Again, that seems reasonable to go from an elite defender (Iggy), to a not elite defender (Barnes) guarding him.

Would be a nice pickup for the C's for insurance for the frontcourt. NBA champ and battle-tested for playoffs.

John Stockton 15,806 assists, 3265 steals, & 51.5% FG
Steph Curry 5,740 assists, 1419 steals & 47.5% FG

Curry is better scorer than Stockton, no doubt, but rather have a floor general like Stockton…I know he didn’t win any championships but teams lot tougher back in

ESPN has the Celtics finishing first in the conference for the first time since 2016-17 off of a record of 55-27.

Their projections have Giannis Antetokounmpo and the Milwaukee Bucks finishing just behind Boston with a 54-28 record, and the Cleveland Cavaliers rounding out the top three with a 50-32 record.

ESPN also lists the 76ers (47-35), Miami Heat (46-36), and the New York Knicks (46-36) as the other top contenders in the East this season.

Curious why the Knicks would be a threat

Maybe just a lack of other East teams to jump them? NYK won 47 games last season and have decent talent in Brunson, Randle & Barrett (if flawed).

Is the 6th seed with mid-40s wins a threat?

I was probably more throw by the “other top contenders” label they were throw under but probably just sloppy writing.
