One great quarter and a great Game 7 and Tatum starts acting like Lebron James.
Stay humble. Quit pointing at yourself and quit holding up the number 50 (points).
Cannot stand all that from other players, Tatum's been pretty good about not falling in love with himself to this point.
Please don't start now.
Aren't there some clouds that you need to yell at somewhere?
Blech
You're criticizing me for asking for classy behavior ?
Idk...I'm criticising you for being a bastion of negativity. Let the man gesticulate and show emotion, he just put up on a huge stage. I'm guessing, ur in the minority on this opinion but whatever, u do u.
bastion of negativity is absurd. like a lot of us, tenn has offered substantive criticism of JT, which has been warranted.
i don’t mind JT celebrating, but considering how he has played most of this postseason, as well as the finals, and considering basketball is a team sport, the celebration of his box score isn’t a great look.
the dude was phenomenal tonight but we need consistency from him the remainder of this postseason.
I must have missed what he said. The Tatum interview I saw was grounded. Not exactly humble I guess but far from over the top. I also didn't think the "I'm one of the best Bball players in the world" comment was all that bad. The way he said it was stating a fact to hold himself to a standard. He also said that he wasn't very good the first half of G6.
I know I say this type of thing a lot, but sometimes I have to remind myself that he's 25. I guess I have different expectations for 25 year olds than I do for 35 year olds -- and maybe a different view than other posters. I have 2 very responsible daughters - 28 and 32 - and, yeah, they're young. Most guys at 25 don't have a mature perspective on life - I get that when you've have a spotlight on you your whole life, you have practice that others don't have -- but still, 25 is 25. They can be skilled and smart and some are wise beyond their years, but I always cut slack (especially when we're just talking about post-game interviews) for younger guys. Frankly, 35 is still young too (it's all relative), but 25 is really young.
