A lot of people are saying we lost this series in Game 4. Personally, I feel it was Game 1. I can live with a close loss on the road with a PHI team literally playing desperate to save their season. And they were healthy.

However, Game 1 there was NO Embiid, and you were at home. And it's not just that Harden put up 45, but you let Melton and others also torch you which shouldn't happen.

They put themselves in a tough spot losing Game 1 the way they did and given the circumstances. Teams with killer instincts blow the other team out when missing their best player.

Would they have the balls to do that, after they just gave him the full title no interim?

I don't see how they walk back from that and then fire Joe.   It is what they should do, but I don't think ownership, BS have the nuts to do that.

They come back with Mazzula next year then it’s shows their commitment to winning. I’m certainly checking out for the season if he’s the coach.

I don't disagree, but those players have generally proven that they deserve their roles in the NBA.  Joe hasn't.  He's also the only one to be charged with a felony for choking a woman.

In some ways, the failure isn't Joe's fault.  He was the second or third assistant under a rookie head coach.  All of a sudden he's the lead guy, with almost no relevant experience.

They make movies out of this stuff, where the idiot son is left in charge of a company.  In Hollywood, it's funny.  In real life it's "No adjustments" or "shoot more threes".

Agreed. Not at all convinced their reaction was needed or appropriate.

Agreed. They should never have given a rookie coach the keys to a title contender. They needed to replace Ime Udoka with a veteran coach who knew his business. No time for rookie coaches.

They need coaches who can fire up their ass esp when they mess up or are lost. Who can draw plays and call timeouts immediately.

Someone like another SVG who screams at them in the huddles. Not these softies like Brad or Joe Matt Patricia. Somebody who can hold them accountable!

I'm still miffed about Joe's refusal/inability to make adjustments on the PnR coverage. That incompetence alone should be sufficient for a firing, without even considering all of the other non-sense.
