Puke. Grizzlies throwing in the towel early. Embarrassing 2-seed.

Don't know if the Kings can even match LAL's depth

I think the Grizz have a run in them somewhere.  Not sure if it’ll be enough, but they’ll get within at least 5 before it’s over, and maybe closer/get the lead.

Boy, after all the crap they talked this year, Memphis on the verge of getting knocked out in the first round as a 2 seed. They’ll deservedly get a lot of flack.
I was listening to an interview on ESPN with a MEM beat writer and he was saying that both Ja Morant (more understandable) and Dillon Brooks have been skipping out on most press conferences to avoid questions with reporters because they are unhappy with the blowback from journalists.

Ja was even saying that nobody else in the league gets criticism like they do. If they lose 4-5 games, nobody else gets the blowback they get. Essentially the media doesn't melt down if LAL loses 5 games or NY loses 5 games. But they do for MEM.

They ramped up the expectations and then struggle to deal with any negativity when those expectations aren't met.

D Brooks is also unhappy because he thinks the media set him up to say stuff that gets him bad press. The journalist says you just need to put a microphone in front of him and Brooks takes care of the rest. No media needs to set him up.

MEM need to make a little run here before halftime. Get it down from 18-20pts to 12-15pts.

JJJ has been very disappointing the last few games.

Actually, he got 18pts last game but the two games before he had only 13pts and 14pts. Only 3pts in the first half today. Not good enough.

He needs to step up and deliver scoring wise.

Welp, that's a wrap. They don't look like a team that can come back from 30 down.

Memphis deserves all the bashing from the media thanks to those two clowns on that team.

Something isn't right with that Memphis team. All we've heard all year is hold Ja is a superstar, JJJ is a two way force, Bane is supposedly a future all star. If these guys are so good, why do they look so awful? They have injuries inside, but they aren't really getting killed inside, they just literally can't score half the time.

A lot of Grizzlies fans do not like Dillon Brooks because of his offense and lack of shooting / floor spacing. That you can't pair a poor shooting PG in Morant with another poor shooting wing player in Brooks. That Bane cannot be expected to be the only player to make perimeter jump-shots.

MEM usually play a non-shooting big man next to those two perimeter players as well so they end up with 3 limited jump-shooters in their main lineups. This makes it difficult to score.

It was interesting to see some fans lament after Kyle Anderson. That having a combo forward who could play PF in smaller lineups was great for opening up their offense. That they were lacking that this season with guys like Tillman (non-threat offensively) taking Kyle Anderson's minutes instead. Certainly, watching Hachimura and how much of a matchup advantage he has had over Aldama & Tillman, I can see why MEM would miss Kyle Anderson so much. He would've been huge in that matchup.

Well they were missing Adams, Clarke and Kennard tomight and Ja was clearly favoring his right hand. But this dose of humility will do the, good. They’re a young team but I still remember Ja saying “I’m good in the West” saying the only team he was worried about was the Celtics. You need quality in the playoffs ans they need another star to support Ja, other than Bane.
Any odd typos are because I suck at typing on an iPhone :D

I was very wrong.  I’m still not impressed by the Lakers. They got a very nice draw in a very banged up Memphis team.
