I mean, I don't know that we really need "medical data" to support load management, as common sense says (generally speaking) that guys who play fewer games are going to be more rested come playoff time.
My point was that teams pay players per season, but we're getting to the point where teams aren't really getting full seasons from some players, even when they're healthy, so maybe owners are going to want to do something about that. Kawhi, for example, even if healthy, probably isn't going to play more than 50 games in the regular season. Seems like owners wouldn't like paying for a "full season" that's not really full. (If a guy is injured, that's a different story.)
