Has the search function been eliminated? I remember there was a Miles Bridges thread, but I don’t know how to search for it. Maybe it’s because I’m on my phone?

Anyway, Bridges News:.

We haven’t talked much about how disappointing the Clippers have been so far.  They’re 4-4, which isn’t terrible, but they’ve had arguably the easiest schedule to date, with only 2 games against playoff teams (Phoenix and Pelicans), both of which they’ve lost.  They’ve also lost twice to OKC, and their four wins have been against the Lakers, Kings, and twice against the Rockets.  They’ve won those four games by a combined 18 points.

I know Kawhi isn’t all the way back, but they should still be better.

Norm Powell so far hasn’t lived up to expectations. He’s supposed to be the super sixth man or the guy who steps up when Kawhi/PG sit. Zubac though has been a pleasant surprise.

The Clippers problems are basically Kawhi is made of glass.  He has played 42 minutes the entire season and who knows when he will play again.
2023 Historical Draft - Brooklyn Nets - 9th pick

Bigs - Pau, Amar'e, Issel, McGinnis, Roundfield
Wings - Dantley, Bowen, J. Jackson
Guards - Cheeks, Petrovic, Buse, Rip

Kawhi or not, they shouldn't have a combined negative point differential against the Thunder, Rockets, Lakers, and Kings.  That schedule has been butter soft so far.

Warriors are 3-6 with losses to Detroit, Orlando and Charlotte.  :-X

Westbrook on his way to 6th Man of the Year.  He has been awesome off the bench and the Lakers are winning.  Amazing.

They're 2-5...

But tbh if Westbrook just comes off the bench primarily that award is easily his. He can put up big numbers consistently regardless.

I meant with him coming off the bench.  They lost the 1st game, but have won the last 2.  Westbrook is +22 in the 3 games off the bench and -16 in his 3 games starting (he didn't play their 4th game).  The last 2 games, he has been efficient and a stat stuffer, while the team is winning.

Missed this in the Kyrie stuff, but if anyone had 'early November' for their guess for Simmons trade discussions to start swirling - congratulations, you were right:

Westbrook is +5 in 75 total min with James and Davis,  +1 in 100 min without Davis and James.

I had said that I had doubts that Westbrook off the bench was a good idea.  It is working better than I thought but he is still better when all three are on the court.  Interesting that Westbrook+Davis, no James (+13 in 121 min) is better than Westbrook+James, no Davis (+2 in 114 min) but still good in both cases.  Also surprising is that Davis is better with Westbrook (+13, 121 min) than with James (+2, 152 min).

I know, all still pretty small sample sizes, but still interesting, at least to me.

I'd still acquire him, but we can't make the money work (with anyone I'd be willing to trade).  Shame we don't have 15-17 million of extra salary sitting on the team.

Simmons for Kennard, Covington, Boston works financially.  I think that would be an interesting team for both the Nets and Clippers

Yeah I don't know - I've managed to catch a Nets game or two on TV since the season started, and Ben Simmons does not strike me as a dude who is enjoying playing basketball at all, and he's said words to that effect as well.

Some of that is going to be his injuries, and I don't think any of it is his fault, per se, but I would be very surprised if anyone makes a move for him in the short term.
