Adrian Wojnarowski: Fifteen-year NBA veteran and ESPN analyst JJ Redick has interviewed for the Toronto Raptors’ coaching job, sources tell ESPN. Redick was part of a first-round of candidates to meet with franchise leadership.

Joe offered Redick a spot on the Celtics staff last year:

Interesting, given he's not got the experience that a lot of his competitors have. I do like some of his takes on how the game is played today (less so his takes on historical ball), so I would be curious to see just how that translates into coaching

Mark Jackson just got outed as the sole MVP voter who didn't have Jokic in the top 5 on his ballot.

That should genuinely be grounds for removing his voting entitlement.

I'm not surprised he no longer coaches (nor has he been seriously considered it seems in recent years)

I am so nervous for this game. It’s honestly gonna ruin my week if we lose.

Lol, yeah, definitely a bit longer than a week. Especially given the potential headache of the Brown contract extension, the lack of interest for us in the draft, and the fact that we have some issues to deal with in the coaching staff

I understand why they allows reporters and broadcasters to vote, but at the same time, I wish they didn't, because too many goofballs have a vote. MLB should give it the guy with the highest WAR; the NBA should come up with some similar statistic. Not that such a thing is foolproof or without fault, but it would at least standardize things and eliminate foolish stuff like what Jackson did.

I could def see JJ as a good option as an assistant coach.  But jumping the line to be a head coach already?  Hmm, we have all seen what happens with an inexperienced young head coach.  Imagine one with no experience as an assistant.  JJ seems sharp.  Maybe he could make the adjustment?

I’m trying to not let it ruin my life but yes I will probably be upset for quite a while. I am thankful some of our process fans have not been posting cause I would be losing it on them.

Just curious; what do you mean by this? Fans who view a series loss to Philly as less of a failure and more of a normal part of a learning/growth process?

I believe Clay is referring to ‘The Process’

If the Sixers manage to make it out of the second round it will be the first time they’ve done it in, what, two decades?

From a certain angle the team hasn’t been any better than the roster they dismantled to kickstart ‘The Process’.
