Minnesota Timberwolves guard Anthony Edwards was cited for third-degree assault after he allegedly swung a chair that struck two female employees following the team's series-ending loss to the Denver Nuggets on Tuesday night in Game 5 at Ball Arena, the Denver Police Department said Wednesday.

The incident occurred as Edwards headed toward the Wolves' locker room after the loss and swung a folding chair, injuring the employees, according to Denver police. The injuries were not serious, Denver police spokesman Jay Casillas said.

"We are aware of the alleged incident regarding Anthony Edwards following Game 5 in Denver and are in the process of gathering more information," the Wolves said in a statement released Wednesday night. "We have no further comment at this moment."

Edwards is scheduled for a June 9 court date in Denver, according to the citation. Third-degree assault is a class one misdemeanor in the state of Colorado. If convicted, Edwards faces possible jail time and a fine of up to $1,000.

The Memphis Grizzlies have informed pending free agent Dillon Brooks that he will not be brought back under any circumstances, league sources say.

Curious who would want him at this point. Maybe a team like Minnesota

Bout as strong as I've ever seen a statement like that worded.  "Don't let the door hit ya."

Devin Booker continuing to out-perform KD in the playoffs.

His quickness stands out so much next to KD. Booker's ability to beat his man off the bounce, get into the paint, draw help defenders, and either finish in a crowd or find open teammates. That quickness shows up on defense too with Booker doing a great job one-on-one and in forcing turnovers.

Not sure I've ever seen "we will not have you back under any circumstances" announced in such a public manner. Let alone for a player who has been a starter for 4 consecutive seasons, and was just coming off a 3 year deal on decent but not outrageous money.

Yikes, though that's kind of hilarious

I wonder if his teammates told management to not bring him back, after his game 2 comments.

Wow, would that Miami team without Butler and without Herro even win 30 games over a full season? I am not convinced they would. Maybe Bam could get them to 30. Maybe.

I think that is a 25 win team.

Imagine if they didn’t. Have the two buyout guys. Haslem would be playing .

I predict a tough out tonight though.  These are games, like without Embiid last night, that unexpected things can happen.

True but Philly has a lot more talent than Miami without their star and herro. Do the heat have anyone that can step up abs score 40 like harden did? Can’t really see bam doing that.
