Many seasons this township group has stifled this team's chances to win it all because they didn't want to spend the money. Last year and possibly this year are two prime examples.

An ownership group so concentrated on making money and prioritizes that over winning titles, to me, means they most probably don't care a hoot about how many titles the Lakers have.

I really hope we aren't done yet. This team needs everything ownership can give them. The main thing the Warriors had over The Celtics was money spent to build a roster. It's past time to go all in! Pony up!

You can't use last years team as an example. Getting a new GM and coach and then moving pieces that would later benefit the team long term was all you could do. Players have to be available and FA's have to be wanting to come here.

Last years team was god awful until after the deadline, why spend money on a crappy team that wouldn't necessarily improve the first half of the season, and no way ANYONE new that this team would be 2 games away from winning it all.

They've already made a couple good moves, spending some money, and sounds like they are willing to spend more on some thing that makes sense now, or later if you use the TPE now on one or two players and move them later for a better one. Still gotta have guys available and teams okay with a TPE and some late first round picks. And those pics will be a few years out.

Bryant picked LA cause he will play more, Cousins wants to start. KD,Irving,Ayton are kinda bogging up some of the next series of moves for teams. Usually during Summer league more moves start happening, so we should sit tight for a bit.

Now if there are reports player x was available and they don't pull the trigger then we have some thing to be mad at. So far they said they would spend into the tax, and they are doing it. Two really solid moves that should help this team alot.

Knicks waived Taj Gibson. Big enough for back up 5 minutes?

Per Shams Charania:   James Harden is taking a $15 million paycut for next season that allowed Philadelphia to elevate roster — with sole focus on a championship run in 2023. Harden opted out of his $47M player option and now plans to sign a new two-year deal with a player option in Year 2.

Per Woj:  Free agent Frank Kaminsky has agreed to a one-year deal with the Atlanta Hawks, his agents Mark Bartelstein and Andy Shiffman of @PrioritySports tell ESPN.

Per Bobby Marks:  Damian Lillard has signed a two-year $122 million extension with the Portland Trail Blazers, sources tell ESPN. The extension has a player option for the 2026-27 season.

With Philly using the full MLE, it seemed likely Harden had indicated a willingness to take a paycut.

Unbelievable. Why do it? Lillard getting up there coming off a major injury. John Wall 2.0

They should have shown he was healthy then traded him off for a full rebuild.

Yes it allowed them to sign Tucker and House.  The 1+1 is very good for the Sixers.  Thought they'd be on the hook for 3 or 4 years albeit at significantly less than his max.

He sells tickets. At the end of the day, that’s what’s most important to ownership. Without Lillard they have no one to draw fans in. Dame is another one that cares way more about the money than winning. I’m not a Harden fan, but I respect that he’s sacrificed a lot of money to try to win on other teams, unlike Lillard and Beal.

At some point you have to blame the performance on the court on the players on the court. Every loss is not the coach's fault and every win isn't because of the players.

I guess players don't care about winning as much as they say they do....
