I find it hilarious that a few of the posters getting really super excited about this Trevion Williams signing and the Davidson pick are some of the same people that complained about our inexperienced/bad bench and how it cost the Celtics last year.
I think it's excitement that these additions will be complemented by one or two veteran signings.
Meh. We have seen this excitement before similar players only to see they weren't NBA players.
Carson Edwards: My god what a great tourney run. He's our next Eddie House
Tremont Waters: What an awesome defender. We have an Avery Bradley that can pass.
Jordan Mickey: The next Bill Russell(remember that one)
Tacko Fall: 7'5"...7'5"...7'5"...Embiid will never bother the Celtics again
I can go on but I think you get it. 40+ years of witnessing the reality that these 2nd round/undrafted guys rarely turn out to be anything, has hardened me not to get excited about them at all. It's why I will never understand people getting all hot and bothered about trading away second rounders. To me, they are worth next to nothing.
