Every pass I saw was cross court through like 8 guys. We already have guys that do that Jason and company. Trevion's passes were a little stronger than we are used to seeing but there is nothing I dislike more than forcing a pass from one side of court to the other.

I was thinking the same thing. Those passes look nice but would they actually translate into the NBA game? I mean we saw a lot of JT’s crosscourt passes easily picked off. I’m excited to see how he fares in summer league play. Maybe he can replace Kornet.

All this being said, it doesn't sound like this kid would ever contribute to a championship run.

He is a lot better passer than Tatum.   I would would put forth the argument that you really have not seen much of him at all have you?   From your comments this is very easy to discern.  He hits cutters really well.

This kid's passing is almost on a Larry or  Joker level of skill.   The rest of his game is not, but he can dish.

Waiting to see what he does summer league.  He has lost a lot of weight and is working hard on his body.  He's a long shot but he has a good handle, good rebounding skills and he is a superb passer.     He may not be a NBA level athlete though, and we will see.

No I have not seen him at all. I based my comments on the video shown in which every pass I saw was cross court. I would love to see a big man with great passing skills added to our bench. I am just not a fan of cross court passes. Jimmy Butler feasts on those.

I am hoping he is good as you say he is but if he is as good a passer as LB or Joker why didn't he get drafted?

If he has increased his mobility more he can surpass Kornet and make the roster. We shall see how much he has improved in this jump to the pros

Wow he is a high level passer. Could maybe one day be like a 10-15 min bench player.

He is a brilliant passer, but others parts of his game may not translate in the pros.  He should be fun to watch in summer league due to that, there are reasons he was not drafted of course.   He also needs cutters to utilize that passing.

If I was the coaches I would start teaching him Aaron Baynes style defense immediately as he does have the body for that.

He does need work on his body and his game but the player he really reminds me of on offense is Draymond Green. That passing is beautiful. He won't get on the floor if he can't defend but the passing is top level.

"This is why it wouldn’t hurt to draft Trevion Williams at 44th overall, a superb interior presence on both sides of the ball that just so happens to be an excellent rebounder as well. If there’s one current NBA player that comes to mind when seeing Williams play, it’s none other than Miami Heat Center Bam Adebayo, possessing the same tenacity and physicality inside, as well as this balanced ability to pass and dribble the ball impressively well for his size and frame."

I honestly think the best passer on the Celtics is Rob Williams. I'd love to see him get more touches at the top of the key to make plays with his passing. If the C's have another Williams who can do the same off the bench, they can keep playing the same offense.

that is almost always a smart and safe bet with undrafted players. but who knows???? leon powe was drafted at number 49, the 19th pick in the second round. maybe that will be TW ceiling??? maybe.

but in any case, i like his skills, but boy he is slow.

so, hope springs eternal and summer league always gives us at least one or two transitory heros to salivate over. maybe he and JD will be our latest summer league binkies. ;D
I believe Gandhi is the only person who knew about real democracy — not democracy as the right to go and buy what you want, but democracy as the responsibility to be accountable to everyone around you. Democracy begins with freedom from hunger, freedom from unemployment, freedom from fear, and freedom from hatred.

Yeah, T-Will, as I will be calling him, should spend his summer running and shooting.

https://theathletic.com/3376387/2022/06/24/trevion-williams-nba-draft/

"In reality, there’s a lot more here. Williams is still only 21, and stands 6-foot-10 with a 7-foot-3 wingspan. In an interview with The Athletic last year, he admitted, “Personally, I think my weight has always held me back. The skills have always been there, but I’ve had weight problems.”

It’s been a long road, but Williams has gradually gone from 325 pounds as a freshman to his current weight of 265."
