Windhorst reports that the Hornets trying to dump his salary with a 1st round pick so they have cap room to re-sign bridges.

He’d fit well here obviously but we’d probably have to include Horford to get salary to match.

Any creative ideas? I think Brad would at least take a look.

Don’t see him joining the Celtics, cap, health and role don’t make sense.

My bet is Hayward + 15 to Pacers for Turner

He can me a major focus point of the offense while they build a young core around Haliburton
Mavs
Wiz
Hornet

White + Theis for Hayward? Not sure I'd do it, but that works salary-wise
'23 Historical Draft: Orlando Magic.

PG: Terry Porter (90-91) / Steve Francis (00-01)
SG: Joe Dumars (92-93) / Jeff Hornacek (91-92) / Jerry Stackhouse (00-01)
SF: Brandon Roy (08-09) / Walter Davis (78-79)
PF: Terry Cummings (84-85) / Paul Millsap (15-16)
C: Chris Webber (00-01) / Ralph Sampson (83-84) / Andrew Bogut (09-10)

Two guys that will play a full season for a 40-game-a-year player? No.

Did we forget the part where he is NEVER healthy. Lol. Why would you want a player with nearly a max contract who typically misses the majority of the season.
Quoting Nick from the now locked Ime thread:

At some point you have to blame the performance on the court on the players on the court. Every loss is not the coach's fault and every win isn't because of the players.

Oh yeah, I wouldn't do it. Just that salary-wise there's a way to do it and keep Horford.

There are better options for us

As I said months ago, I think he ends up on the Lakers for Westbrook.  Perhaps Westbrook and THT for Hayward and Rozier.  Charlotte clears off their cap and gets a young player.  They kick the tires on Westbrook and see if he has anything left and if not, just let him walk at some point (either during the season or at the end of it).
2023 Historical Draft - Brooklyn Nets - 9th pick

Bigs - Pau, Amar'e, Issel, McGinnis, Roundfield
Wings - Dantley, Bowen, J. Jackson
Guards - Cheeks, Petrovic, Buse, Rip

If Charlotte was willing to give up an unprotected first in ‘25 or ‘26, I’d do Hayward/unprotected 1st for White/Theis. Immediately flip that unprotected first, our 2028 1st, our 2026 1st and our 2024 1st and our TPE for DeJounte Murray. Those four picks ought to be enough to land our Floor General. Imagine our rotations, and imagine adding another PG with the MLE:

Murray/Smart or MLE
Smart/Pritchard or MLE
Brown/Hayward/Nesmith
Tatum/GWill
Timelord/Horford

And we could still move some second rounders/swaps with our other two TPEs to potentially add further depth.

That’s one epic team, especially if the band misses playing with Gordo. JT/JB/Murray is a Big 3 with the above being an exceptional supporting cast.

Hayward's health not withstanding, that's an upgrade for the Lakers.
Maybe they'll be just good enough to get back to the finals,
where we can get revenge for 2010 and retake our titles lead all in one shot.
The Four Celtic Generals:
Russell - Cowens - Bird - Garnett

The Four Celtic Lieutenants:
Cousy - Havlicek - McHale - Pierce

Murray the centerpiece of Spurs rebuild. They aren’t trading him.

Not even for four first-round picks? Sweeten the pot with swaps and 2nds. Dang it, I want Murray running point next year.

Why on earth would they? He's a 25 year-old All-Star on a cheap contract. He, Johnson and Vassell are good young pieces to be adding a #9 and a #20 pick to.

Hayward is washed unfortunately and would only be a good role player off the bench.

Get Hayward back? Hopefully not, lol.
