Severance was amazing and I can't wait for the 3rd season.  I am currently watching Outlander, originally started 11 years ago.  Every season (I'm currently in the 6th of 7) gets better.  If you have the time it is well worth it.  Check it out online.  Oh, and they have announced an 8th season is in the making.
Season 8 will be the last season and it has already been filmed.  Just don't have an air date yet.  There is an Outlander prequel coming which is supposed to air sometime this year.

I found the first season of Severance to be amazing.  I thought that most of the story involving the main team was very good in season two, but I thought that there were sidetracks that didn't work that well.

==============================================================

In terms of current shows I'm watching, so far I'd recommend Daredevil Born Again and 1923.  Neither are perfect, but I think they're both really well done.  Oh, and Reacher.  I see that one as mindless entertainment.  It took me awhile to get into the stiff, forced way that the lead actor presents the character (is it bad acting, or is Reacher just that way in print?), but after embracing that aspect of the show it's a pretty fun watch.

I've also recently started watching Narcos.  I find that one to be interesting and entertaining, while fully understanding that it's not a history documentary.
I thought Severance was good but definitely not amazing.  Agree that 1st season was better.  The Severance concept is weird.  Hard to see many people agreeing to it and the show has done nothing to convince me that the main character was in such bad shape that he would.  Agree that Reacher is decent, mindless entertainment.  Haven't started the 3rd season yet.

I dont think Adolescence is half as good as people are saying, but it?s nice to see Stephen Graham get some much deserved recognition. His portrayal of Al Capone in Boardwalk Empire is among my favorite TV performances of all-time, so I feel personally invested in his career.

I think it depends upon how much you connect with it emotionally.

I thought the first and third episodes were pretty excellent, and emotionally draining.  But, my emotional investment in that is cranked up to 11:  I've got a son in that general age range, I'm in the legal field and my wife is in the mental health field.  So, it tugged at me, particularly the two episodes related to those fields.

But, I can see where somebody without that emotional investment wouldn't love the series, particularly if they're somebody who was expecting a more traditional procedural like Defending Jacob (also recommended, but definitely structured differently).

I thought episode 4 was the best one, but also the most emotionally taxing. Its easy to forget that family members of people who do horrible things are also victims in a way, especially when they blame themselves.

I do have a different type of emotional investment I guess having worked with schools for 40 years. Also had a tragic situation with my niece with social media as part of the issue.   But I also have friends in my age group also with adult children but no specific emotional connection who are finding it intense and well made. Great acting; amazing writing.  I guess like anything else it?s in the eye of the beholder.

Season 8? I just finished season 2 and it was great. One of the best shows on television.

My wife and I are watching ? Million Dollar Secret? on Netflix. It?s another one of those reality take shows with a bunch of ( mostly) unlikeable people being overly dramatic and wearing ridiculous clothing in between ridiculous ? challenges? . There?s 1 or 2 people among the dirtbags that deserves to win the prize.

Watching the Expanse. Nice to see some good hard sci-fi for once. Great show so far. Just got done with a rewatch of Star Trek Deep Space 9. A classic.

Also Righteous Gemstones. One of the all-time great comedies. I could watch Walton Goggins all day as Uncle Baby Billy.

Adding in some Curb Your Enthusiasm too. Larry David is a comedic mad scientist.

I watched the final episodes of White Lotus and 1923 this week.  Both were solid enough, in the B/B+ range.

I enjoyed 1923 as a series, but the narrative arc is pretty odd, and the parade of horribles the damsel in distress faces become fairly laughable.  I like Westerns, and it was cool seeing Harrison Ford and Helen Mirren act, so I'm not going to complain too much.

The Expanse gets a little cheesy at times, but some of the visuals and audio for that show are the best I've seen.  Really enjoyed.

I watched Deep Space 9 for the first time a couple of years ago.  Good stuff.  I'm a late to the table Star Trek Nerd.  Though I did love the Next Generation when it was still on air.

And just picked Righteous Gemstones back up in season 3 after I sort of forgot about it a couple of years ago.  Definitely one of the better raunchy humor shows.  When it's good it's so good.  They are amazing at building sets and styles.
Yup

The Pitt on HBO MAX may be one of best series I ever watched
excellent show.  caught up on the last episode earlier this week.  bummed I now have to wait for 1 a week going forward.

I've been curious about this but am worried it's just going to be another ER 2.0...any tips on what makes it different? Or is it more of the same but just better/still worth it?
