Well, appropriateness of the interview aside... is he wrong? We've had multiple reports that that bring support to his take on his time with the Celtics.

Have we heard multiple reports of players not knowing what was expected of them?  I don’t think we’ve heard that.

Of the whole thing, is that really what's bothering you? I wouldn't be the least surprised if that was the case for him in particular. Seems quite a normal occurrence for an NBA team to have certain players that aren't quite clear on what they want from him.

Our team was a mess for the first half of the season, roles were often questioned.

I just think Hernangomez is a mediocre NBA-player and a serial complainer who thinks that the reason for his lack of success is the fault of his teammates and coaches, and not himself, and I view his comments through that lens.
Agreed. Drafted 15th, has been a pretty solid bust considering that, and has played on 5 teams since 2020. Willy has always been the better Hernangomez anyway.

I'm a little confused. Is he saying that the players who got shipped out/left out of the rotation were the selfish ones?

Anyway, he's played on 5 teams in 3 years for a reason.
1957, 1959, 1960, 1961, 1962, 1963, 1964, 1965, 1966, 1968, 1969, 1974, 1976, 1981, 1984, 1986, 2008, 2024

I think yabu may be a bit better than with young. Yabu plays a fairly key role for Madrid, one of the top teams in Europe. I’ve seen a few of their games and it seems like he can actually hit a few threes. now. Young plays in Israel premier league for what seems like a middling team. Anyone with more European ball able to verify this?
