I don't think The Warriors played one team as good as The Nets, Bucks or Heat yet so they have yet to be tested. The Warriors played depleted Nuggets, Young Depleted Grizz, and one-note Mavs.

I gotta believe in this team. My brain tells me the Warriors will win in 6 but this team has shown up and played with so much heart that I will believe in them to produce 4 more wins this season

C’s in 6! Let’s go!!!

I think the Grizzlies were better than the Nets this season and in the playoffs. They are a really solid team and deep.

At some point you have to blame the performance on the court on the players on the court. Every loss is not the coach's fault and every win isn't because of the players.

Games 3 and 5 against the Bucks and games 3 and 6 in this series make me hesitant to pick Boston.

They have the talent, but this bipolar way of playing is going to catch up to them I think.

Hope I'm wrong.

Pretty sure they had a better winning percentage without Morant. Adams also played in the series.

Yeah, but Warriors have been equally bipolar, if not more so. That said, they're a dangerous team. I don't think anyone picking one team over the other has any more insight than anyone else. Both teams are more than capable than winning and even dominating the other any given night. What's left is just to play the game and hope players perform.

Didn't Adams also get hurt? I don't think they were better in the playoffs without Ja. The playoffs is a whole other animal. You need your stars more in the playoffs.

The Warriors are a strange team this year.  They only had 3 games in the regular season (11 minutes) where Curry, Thompson, and Green all played.  In the playoffs, it is 16 games (308 minutes).  That grouping has done well in the playoffs but I don't think against any teams that are as good as the Celtics are (or can be).

The bottom line for me is that I don't feel I have a good read on exactly how good GSW is.  One thing that is for sure, they are better now than they have been for the regular season.  They have their complete team and even though this playoff run for them has been against less completive teams, it has given them a chance to play together.

Trying to gauge the Celtics is tricky also.  Through the playoffs, the Celtics have had key players out or limited.  You can assume that what we saw in the Bucks and Miami series is representative, everyone plays but Rob Williams less than full strength, but I think there is some ceiling with the Celtics for them to be better.

My general impression is that I don't think GSW is any better than MIL or MIA.  We beat MIL and MIA but in very close series where they could have gone either way.  It is probably going to come down to how we respond to pressure relative to how they do.  So far, we have had too many turnovers and moments where we take the foot off the gas, get tentative.  We survived those but may not against GSW.  This team should treat this as nothing to loose, nothing to prove, house money, whatever.

I am hopeful that they can break the pattern but I am not fully confident that they will.  This is a really big moment for this young team.  It is a lot to ask of them.  I expect at times they will handle the pressure, the bigness of the moment, other times not so much.  But bottom line is that I think this team can do it if GSW give them any opening or opportunity.  Anything less than GSW's A-game, and the Celtics are going to take this for sure. But even against their A-game, I think there is another gear for the Celtics that we haven't see yet in the playoffs, at least not consistently.  I think it is there though, the question is if the Celtics can find it in this huge moment.

Adams missed 2 games early in the series, but played the remaining 4. Can’t believe I’m defending the Grizzlies (who won 56 games this season) to the person who is Desmond Banes biggest fan.  :blank:

Stephen A. Smith got the Warriors in 7 because the C's haven't guarded an "elite-perimeter offense like Curry and Klay". Perk and Stoudemire got the C's in 7.

And the media already coming for the heads picking on the C's, not to sleep on the Warriors. Offense would be too much for Boston to handle. They say Warriors in 5. I'd say C's in 6.

we have size advantage

we must pound them down low with drives and AL and TL scoring on the block. lob ins...alley oops whatever.

guard steph and klay like your life depends on it and run them off three line..if they get some easy midrange twos so be it...it would have to be midrange since i expect TL and AL to patrol the rim well.

if we play smart we actually have a shot here. make wiggins or draymond beat us. just not curry and klay

I say C’s in 6.

No team has played GS better than us in the past 7-8 years since they’ve become contenders, as we matchup pretty well with them. And while GS is much better offensively than Miami, I actually fear their defense significantly less than Miami’s despite it being highly rated during the regular season, as I don’t see GS being anywhere near as physical as Miami which is something we struggle with.

Also, GS’s offense has yet to encounter any kind of defense like Boston’s or really the East’s defense altogether. We’re much more physical and able to turn you over than West teams, which is a problem that GS already struggles with.

So three key things:

1) Play physical D on them to make them uncomfortable without fouling;

2) Keep pressure on them to force the turnovers they commit a lot already on their own; and

3) Must limit our turnovers and get back in transition.
