Any Marcus smart slander will not be tolerated. Because everyone criticizing him was crying for him to be on the floor the games he has missed.

So just stop. It’s freaking pathetic.

Heat shot 43% from three. That’s the difference

We made them too comfortable though. Didn't have that killer edge, that means everything in a game of inches
.  DUDE, they made contested 3s all night!!

Foolish me thinking this was time Boston would exercise the ECF demons. Just set you up for heartbreak

Yup. If anyone wonders why I’ve never quite been able to fully believe in this team, it’s because of games like this one. Boston just can’t make things easy on themselves. Always gotta learn the hard way. So much low-IQ basketball.

Yeah it's brutal. I mean... we literally went in hoping 2012 ECF Game 6 Lebron didn't show up but then lo and behold, Butler puts up 47 in a winning effort. And the C's choked on numerous occasions. Yeah the refs were GOD AWFUL but they aren't the only reason we lost. Still had our chances and blew it everytime. Only White and Tatum showed up though even Tatum disappeared in the 2nd half for some odd reason

One thing that  is so depressing is how stupid is Ime in managing the challenge. I think he lost more than 50% of the challenge. And the timing too.

Rule of thumb is if either Tatum or GWill asks for a challenge don’t do it.

Yeah, that is absolutely frustrating. He does regularly do that.  Some of those calls down the stretch were so bad as to be laughable and the challenge would've been helpful. That Tatum "offensive foul" that would've been a three point play is the one I'm thinking about in particular.

Meanwhile, the Red Sox had a 6-0 and 8-2 lead tonight against a terrible team... and blew it to lose 12-8

I mean what a night for Boston sports...

I guess my joker arc starts tomorrow morning  :P

Tatum had some rough TOs, but 30 points on 12 FGA is insane efficiency. I'm not sure we can count on that again, but we are going to need him.

I am sad. We had this one, but let it get away with many of the same issues that hindered us earlier in the season. We are just not a good close game team and that is a pretty important quality to have if you are going to go all the way.

But that's why I think the challenge rule in it's current form makes no sense. At least give coaches 1 per half. Especially with how questionable the refs typically are.

This team is so mentally soft when things are going well.
They cannot handle success

4th ECF in 6 years

sorry no EXCUSES

miami is trash compared to giannis, jrue, lopez and portis

we shot ourselves in the foot that series also and had to perform a miracle in gaes 6 and 7

we have blown out bucks and heat so easily how do we show up like this at home? i mean we won by 20 last home game but you get the point
zero playing smart with any comnsistency

we are our worst enemy

Prrach!!!

Thankfully we're weirdly much better on the road. So there's that at least!

In a game you needed to win, the player with the most shots…..Smart. They deserve to lose based off that alone. Tatum only 12 shots. Cs will never win anything with Smart on this team.

 ::)

Yeah, let's not put anything on our superstar Tatum only getting 12 shots himself or turning the ball over 7 times. Or let's not forget about JB who essentially handed the game to Miami by choking two go-ahead free throws, and even Al was pretty much non-existent all night.

Lots of players had bad games. Celtics are not in this position without Smart's contributions all year long and his leadership.
It's silly trying to attribute blame to singular players. The coaches completely and utterly failed to put us in a position to succeed. We didn't ride Tatum, Brown or White adequately when they were cooking. We left Smart on Butler despite it being a horrible match-up. We allowed Smart to go full shooting villain. We didn't pull Horford despite rubbish play all around.

Yeah, not sure why we continued having Smart as primary on him. Generally, Smart can do a decent job on Jimmy, but he's still clearly hobbled on his foot making it hard for him. Secondly, Jimmy had it going to night clearly, and with him being 4-5 inches taller and bigger than Smart, you have to have a bigger guy on him.

That was probably the biggest performance I've ever seen on Smart as a primary defender.

It is completely and utterly ridiculous that they're only just "looking at" reforming it this offseason. It simply has to be one per half, and you have to keep it if you are successful. The game is ridiculously slowed down by all the stupid flagrant reviewing, not whether or not a foul was correct in and of itself.
