This team just struggles when it’s a close game in the final 5 minutes.

97-94 lead tonight, give up a 17-6 run to end in the final 4:30

Game 3 this series, C’s down 93-92 after Jaylen’s 3 and then MIA scores 7 straight to ice it

Even last series Game 5, C’s go up 105-99 with 90 seconds to go, and MIL ends on a 11-2 run

Just never easy for the C’s…….

The Celtics are really a Jekyll and Hyde team. On one night they decide to show up and blow the waters out the door. The next night they go sleep and get ousted.

Paul Pierce and Kevin Garnett would have never let those 3 games slip away guaranteed.

This is the Celtics team we saw through January where they struggled to put teams away and close games.

Yeah at most maybe they let one slip away if the opponent was another elite team but tbh Miami isn’t yet we’re still shooting ourselves in the foot constantly

If you're looking for an optimistic take, when Smart lost us a game against the Bucks he came out the next game playing like his hair was on fire.  Not sure he's healthy enough to do the same here, but I'm choosing to be hopeful.

Ouch

Green knew exactly what he was doing because he knows playing the heat is an automatic championship

Any Marcus smart slander will not be tolerated. Because everyone criticizing him was crying for him to be on the floor the games he has missed.

So just stop. It’s freaking pathetic.

but he deserves the criticism for his play tonight; he was abysmal on both ends of the floor.

the problem with this team is their ceiling is incredibly high but their floor hasn’t been raised and is still too low to be contenders. you can’t be in contention if your bad games are atrocious on a semi-regular basis. it’s a maturity issue that has plagued this team for years and it’s true of every starter, particularly jt, jb, and marcus.

Yeah, I think you're right that the floor is really the issue, not the ceiling. We just don't play smart, confident basketball all that consistently, and a lot of times when we get punched in the mouth in games we let it heavily affect us. I wonder how much of that is due to our two best players being so young.

i hope you’re right and it’s simply due to our youth. as this team has aged and gained more experience, one has to begin wondering if the “soft” label is the real issue. still too early to definitely determine but the concern is growing.

If we were soft, this team doesn't rebound from being .500 to taking out Durant and Giannis in route to the conference finals.

with the talent this team has, getting to the conference finals is admirable but losing to a lesser talented team like the heat, after beating better teams earlier in the playoffs is the definition of soft. miami is nowhere close to the c’s in terms of talent but the heat has proven to be much tougher mentally.

Yeah Draymond actually played this perfectly. It’s not just saying it to give Miami motivation but also weaseling his way out of saying who he wants to play directly since that would sound like a jerk move on his end. Instead he said “oh doesn’t matter we’re playing Boston”

The TNT guys asked him the question directly and pushed him for an answer so that’s what he responded with

And that's also why I hate that thug Draymond Green. Somebody should knock his teeth out on the court one day. Dirty player

It’s hard to beat a team like that three times in a row. We’ll bounce back and win game 7 on the road.

so sucking at home and neding 3 road wins is the norm?

that is a BAAAAAAAAAAAAD trend terrible TBH

WIN UR DANG HOME GAMES

we beat bucks by 28 at home but lose to these clowns LOL

disgraceful

oh but we won by 20 at home and 25 on road

so what

now we are in a abind yet again

bucks are far better team

miami is making us look reak bad giannis shoul;d be fuming  mad

if we lose this for the 4th time in 6 id rather have lost to giannis instead of a bum heat team
LET'S GO CELTICS!

with the height and length advantage, and the double teaming of jt, why don’t the c’s go back to the high post offense leveraging al’s passing and mid-range jumper abilities? get al the ball at the line with rob on the block and jt and jb slashing, with pp in the corner for the three, and the heat have to make tough decisions on who to cover/double. make them pay for their overplay on d and their lack of length.

the heat aren’t doing anything spectacular on d, the c’s just refuse to adjust. game seven is on ime and his game plan.
