Lol. Nash apparently hasn’t shown up too

I think Nash is already prepping his resume for the head coach openings around the league this summer.

Correct me if I'm wrong but was Nash ever sought out to begin with? I feel like he just said he had some interest and then KD got him on board the Nets when they had a coaching need. But also, KD + Kyrie have been vocal about saying they don't feel they need to be coached, so maybe there was a reason for the Nash hiring. Either way, even if coaching needs pop up I can't imagine Nash is #1 on anyone's list lol. Guy's a robot on the sidelines

LOL the coach of the Brooklyn Nets himself says he has no clue if Simmons can play tomorrow, what his update is and what he'll be listed as in today's 5 PM injury report

Does Nash really deserve to be fired? The Celtics are winning the games, but the average margin of victory is less than 5pts. Plus, they are going to look a lot different once Simmons is up to speed and running the point. I don’t think he should be fired at this point.

At some point you have to blame the performance on the court on the players on the court. Every loss is not the coach's fault and every win isn't because of the players.

No but it's obvious he will get fired. Or maybe BKN actually decides to do everything they can to get rid of Kyrie, but I think doing that means KD is gone too so it wouldn't matter. But maybe Kyrie wants to leave BKN anyways so that'd be a moot point.

Someone's going to take the fall and it's likely Nash. Unless if Kyrie and/or KD have their mind set up already about departing.

I rewatched the game.  Am I crazy to think this team has not even played their best yet?  I know Rob is part of that.  I'm not saying they are playing poorly but we've seen better and to me that's scary for the rest of the league.

My motto has been "patience" for a reason. I still believe it'll take us another full calendar year to play our best basketball.

Hope it goes that way.

As I watch some highlights, the most hilarious part to me is every time a team dribbles the ball up the court, you see a lot of black, green and dark colors from the players jerseys and arena... but then Ben Simmons legit looks so out of place with that outfit with the color scheme similar to that of Rainbow Road in Mario Kart

Also true is that the nets are very talented

Durant is already a handful, so you plug one hole and you get Bruce Brown leaking in another

Did kyrie make his god awful comments about coaching on the nets or on the Celtics

I think he said something along the lines of - they don't need to be coached, some days I [Kyrie] am coach, and some other days someone else is coach

He said it more directly while on the Nets but even on the C's I remember he did say at times he and Brad Stevens disagreed on stuff, etc. Durant and Kyrie though have both said they feel they don't need to be coached and that some days they can coach the team up when needed. It's a reason Atkinson was let go by the Nets as you can see on the comments in the "Ben Simmons back for Game 4" thread

Ironically though, Kyrie after Game 2 credited the C's for having a system and running real sets while the Nets don't (aka a shot at Nash and the Nets FO probably).

I don't even blame KD.

Basically playing glorified pickup ball with the way his season went.
