KD ends his presser:

"Edited for profanity.  Please do not do it again.ty game man. Edited for profanity.  Please do not do it again.ty game."

Said fatigue has had nothing to do with his performance which means the Cs are the sole reason for his problems.

Even better.

Durant is not having much fun right now.
I've never seen him have such little fun.

Which is making me, in turn, have lots of fun!

KD with Golden State in Playoffs: 38-10

KD with other teams in Playoffs (OKC, BKN): 57-49

If the Nets lose this series, I think KD will definitely get scrutinized. He already gets scrutinized for basically purchasing two rings with the Warriors who were already a 73-win team without him, but outside of Golden State his playoff resume is a bit less stellar. And he's been on a lot of great teams too (OKC with Harden + Westbrook, BKN last year with Harden + Irving, etc.)

Did you ever see the ESPY's a few years back, Peyton Manning did a comedy monologue to start .....

He recognized the recent success of the USA Olympic Gymnastics team winning a gold medal (at the time)..... Then, looking at Durant in the audience, "The gymnastics team looked so good that Kevin Durant is considering joining them" It was hilarious.
Durant glared at Manning. Peyton turned to Russell Westbrook across the room and asked him, "Am I right" ?
Westbrook broke up laughing.

Really liking Brown and Tatum's post game comments - humble and all about the team.
These guys have come a long way. This team has come a long way.
Tatum is a quiet guy and we should let him be himself - he's just not a big vocal guy. Fine with me.

Quoting Nick from the now locked Ime thread:

At some point you have to blame the performance on the court on the players on the court. Every loss is not the coach's fault and every win isn't because of the players.

Wow this Celtics team has what it takes to make a run seriously at #18. Legitimately…

Young legs vs old Durant legs--and length got Durant thinking about retiring.
Larry Bird was Greater than you think.

Pritchard entered the game with 10:15 left in Q2 in and during the next 3:23, Prichard scores the next 7 points and 10 in total to move the lead from 5 to 11. He has 7.7 PPG with an eFG% of 88% and his 23.0 points per 36 minutes is 2nd only to Tatum's 24.5.

Very nice production from your 9th man.

He's matured since coming into the league and is coming into his own as a leader. He's not the loud boisterous type, he's quiet and introverted but you can see right now he cares.

Quote
“For the most part, I’m a laid back, calm, quiet, reserved person but when I get between those lines, I care,” he said afterward. “It means a lot to me. Sometimes my emotions get the best of me but I’m very passionate about what I do.

“Those 12 seconds on the bench calmed me down a little bit and I refocused back on the game.”

Sticking with my original Tatum prediction a few years ago. 4 titles minimum when all is said and done.

I love Tatum. But it’s hard to win a championship. Think about what Paul Pierce had around him for a few years there at the end and he only has one trophy. It’s hard. Lots can go wrong. Heck, think about Karl Malone or Reggie Miller. Or Vince Carter.

KG doesn't go down and we repeat. If Shaq stays healthy I believe we win that season as well.

Had Joey not screed us in  2010, they would have had that one as well.

Lots of "ifs" but that was a lot of bad luck that most teams don't have in that time span.

Correction - If Danny doesn't make the bone-head trade sending Perk to OKC mid-season, we win the 2011 title.
That team was rolling and was very motivated after the 2010 4th quarter debacle.

True, but at the time we needed a backup SF so they settled for Jeff Green (surprisingly still in the league) and Nenad Krstic to fill in Perk's replacement. We were pretty banged up that year with both O'Neal twin towers out.

2012 we could've also won it all, but our depth was bad and just ran outta gas. I remember we almost swiped in a deal with David West but Larry Bird lured him to the Pacers.

Perhaps KD wants to join the Celtics next season. But if he does, make it known to him that he needs to be the number 2 guy as this is Tatum's team. And no more Kyrie.

What the hell are these idiots doing??? Get the dam ball into Tatums hands. Instead Jaylen wants to dribble the air out of the ball and pass it to smart for a dumb force..

Idiots is right
I think that's a bit dramatic given we're up 3-0 in what lots of people were calling one of the "hardest to predict" first round match-ups ever.

I think it's just nerves...as a fan anything less than a 20 point win is nerve-wracking

I unfortunately didn't get to see it live, had to go to dinner on a Saturday night...watched it on DVR, and I wasn't nervous at all  :police:

If i were BKN I wouldn’t even allow Simmons to play game 4. A loss there could do more damage than good to his already fragile ego.

I can almost guarantee that Ime will have a plan to attack Little Ben if they trot him out.

  • The voice of reason
The fundamental problem with toxic people like KD and Kyrie is that they don’t understand that the leader doesn’t have to be the best player. Neither of them can be leaders with their attitudes and they won’t allow anyone else to take that on. Just holding the team hostage with their nonsense.

They’re trotting out Ben to be a scapegoat. KD needs a team with a leader who he respects. The Warriors thing was good for him.. Kyrie is just impossible. I don’t understand how this player is still getting max contracts.

It’s always mind blowing to me when I see people work so hard to get to the top of their professions and be so mentally weak.
