5 Open Roster Spots - Who do you sign?

So $4,447,240 to spend and 5 open roster spots.

We could move up Hauser and Thomas. I rather have some solid unspectacular vets at the back end.

They can play unlimited without being moved up, they just won't be playoff eligible. If they were moved up I think they would be rookie min and take the place of the empty roster charges. Or we could sign 2 vet min guys ($1,669,178 ea) that would eat most of the available money. If Jaylen misses the all-star incentive they could add a 3rd vet min.

They could end up with a 13 man roster for the playoffs and use the two-ways for the rest of the season.

I predict they promote Hauser, so he's playoff eligible and sign two vet min guys. Then if Jaylen misses both all-star and games played incentives they could possibly sign a 3rd vet-min.

Keep in mind that the vet minimum is prorated.  I suspect we can sign up to four guys.

Anyone signed after opening night is prorated.  The thing that matters is if you sign a deal for more than one year, the minimum salary is no longer subsidized.  So you prorate off the 8-year (or whatever is appropriate) rather than the 2-year number.

Tyler Johnson stands out. A SG who can defend. Not a dependable shooter but real NBA experience. He could be somewhat useful.

Brad Wannamaker was mentioned earlier in the thread. I do like that despite my annoyance of Stevens reliance on former players he has coached / lack of imagination.

WCS would be a good 3rd string center. Moses Brown was mentioned in another thread as a joke but yeah he'd be alright too. Giles could work as a 3rd string.

Not interested in Cousins or IT. Big egos for small roles (plus no defense).

I would really like Marcus Garrett. Defense but no Offense but I like him. High motor. I guess The Heat had to dump him.

I don't know those guys in the middle. Merrill, Garrett, Watson.

Garrett sounds useful. Defensive role player as a situational sub. Good option for a 3rd stringer.

Merrill was a crazy sharp shooter in college but it hasn't translated in low minutes...

Hahaha - I played all of them. 1's my fave. I never played the original Diablo 2, but the remake a-ma-zing. 3 looked nice and was fun for a whole hour or two.

Get my dawg Jabari Parker back.(Is this even allowed?) I've said several times that his value would come if we did a large consolidation trade and here it is. Was a bit disappointed when we waived him again.

If not Parker than Joe Johnson for sure deserves a spot to prove one last time in the playoffs

I understand that the players earned money (cash) is prorated regardless, but is the cap hit also?

Maybe they are hoping 1-2 vets that could help a small amount in the playoff push will be available. Or maybe they really like Hauser, or some other g-league prospect.
