How much would people lose it if we brought back tristan thompson? If he is actually bought out he would unfortunately be a solid piece for the Lakers. I am just really hoping the Lakers can't add dragic or any shooting.

I don't see what value he adds to be honest.

I read somewhere that Kemba and the Knicks are working on a buyout. I'm not sure, if it was a rumour or rather an idea, but what would you think about bringing him back? I don't watch Knicks, seems like he had his ups and downs this season. Maybe he could be a spark of the bench and provide some scoring? I, for one, am not sure. I think I like the type of defense that doesn't need to hide anyone, but maybe you guys have different opinions.

Also, I haven't seen it reported here, but Hauser's deal is supposed to be partially guaranteed in the second year. Which is good because if he works out, we can keep him on a cheap deal for another year.

I'd like to give Moses Brown a proper chance, but we can't sign him, since he was traded from Boston before the season, less than a year ago. Maybe he can sign a 10-day contract with someone else and then he should be eligible to sign with the Celtics? :) I still remember his monster 21/23 game last season.

Lastly, I still hope they will bring KZ Okpala, perhaps on a 2-way deal. Brad said that they will look for lengthy wings that can shoot, and while his shot is suspect and he's a prospect, but he can hit some shots from distance, has got nice size, blocks and dunks, at least in the youtube highlights :)

Tyreke Evans is reportedly being reinstated by the NBA.

I'd love to see us use one of these roster spots on him.

Kemba has a year left on his contract though? They could probably explore trading him in the offseason instead of buying him out this year?

I had the same thought but if he is in shape and ready to play he can probably grab a bigger role on a team like Clippers, Bucks , or Bulls ( if Lavine is out a little while)

He's only 32 and well rested as he hasn't played in 2 years.

Tyreke Evans seems like a no brainer to take a flyer on.

He’s an experienced veteran
He can play 1-3
I think a solid defender
He turned into a decent 3 point shooter his last few years
He can create his own shot and be an additional scorer
He also has point guard skills that can help move the ball

He’s going to be rusty, but he’s reportedly been working out with John Wall and other former NBA players and has the rest of the season to work off the rust.  There’s not much other talent out there.  Bring him in.

No thanks.  I’d rather get someone who’s actually been playing in live games rather than working out in a gym.  Besides, this is the same Tyreke Evans who shot worse than Marcus Smart the season before he was suspended, and who was never known for defense.  There are so many better options out there.  Let him go get high in LA.

If Kemba left a bunch of money on the table they'd do it. Trading Kemba won't be easy.  2 year / $17,894,491, ouch.

Klay Thompson hadn’t played in a couple of years and seems to already back into the swing of things and he was mostly rehabbing major injuries.  Evans has been healthy.  I’m not seeing any good options out there.

The Celtics had interest in him several years ago.  https://hoopshype.com/storyline/tyreke-evans-to-celtics/

Evans was 10-2-2 two years ago - and honestly was probably not even as good as those numbers are.

I don’t why he dropped so much from one year to the next, but the previous year he was 19-5-5 on 40% from 3 and 48% on 2 pointers.  Maybe it was injuries, personal problems, or most obviously drug use.  You may be right that he’s washed up, but if he’s clean now, in shape, and been practicing, I find him to be much more interesting than anyone else available.  If he’s most of what he used to be, he would fit at a needed role and could help this team.  Plus, the Celtics, and I presume Stevens, had previous interest in him.
