I don't see why Utah would do that. The implication in the article is packaging Ingles + a 1st to get a better player, perhaps signed longer term, not to basically make a lateral move.
Also, I don't see why Boston would do that. What does a much older player on an expiring contract do? There is after all a reason the C's signed Richardson to an extension.
The value is probably about fair, but I just don't see why either team would do that.
I think Boston would jump on this. He's an adult, is a great team player, shoots the 3 very well, defends adequately, plus wouldn't you be getting his Bird rights? I doubt that the Jazz would move on from him though, for these reasons.
He is 34 and has declined across the board this year. Richardson is quite simply a better player than him at this point (Richardson is even shooting it better) and he the gap is only going to get bigger.
