  • Sometimes there's no sane reason for optimism
They don't need to blow it up, but this loss was really bad. Of course we couldn't have had this loss Tuesday and the PHI win on Wed going into the break. We had less than 24 hours to enjoy that one, while we have 8 days to sit on this crapshow.

So many terrible aspects to the game - I basically agree with Roy's analogy. Everything we hated about this team came back to life last night. Man, we missed Smart and TL, but we shouldn't need them to beat the Pistons.

It was a bad game. I didn’t enjoy it. I also think it’s the kind of trap game that even good teams fall into from time to time. I’d need to see a lot more before deciding they’re back to being the team they were before the streak.

You could tell the way the ball was going that we were not going to get that seperation to win we needed.   Pistons are a scrappy team that plays hard.

Well, we were up eight with just a couple minutes left, so we should have had adequate separation.  But, the Pistons certainly played hard.  It's been awhile since we were a team that opponents got "up" for.

I've not seen many Pistons games, but everyone I've seen they play hard.  They lack talent, but they do appear to be trying to win every game
2025 Historical Draft - Cleveland Cavaliers - 1st pick

Starters - Luka, JB, Lebron, Wemby, Shaq
Rotation - D. Daniels, Mitchell, G. Wallace, Melo, Noah
Deep Bench - Korver, Turner

Lack of effort compared to last year has been a repeated criticism of them:

Sadly, we got them on a night where they cared and were energized.

As I said, I hadn't watched many games.  perhaps they only show up for the games on tv (you know the ones I can watch).
