I know people will hate this, but I can't stop thinking about if we should actually trade for Ben Simmons..
He complements Tatum way more than Jaylen, eventhough I LOVE Brown.
His Playmaking and Defense would be so perfect next to Tatums scoring, dare I say he reminds me of Scottie Pippen, Draymond or even Lebron/Magic sometimes (when he's at his best). Just watch these highlights from the all star game, there seems to be more synergy than I have ever seen from the Jays..

https://youtu.be/KQk33-7dm9g

If he could just get his free throws to an okay number he'll be good

theyve been saying that in Philadelphia for 4 years now

And thank God we didn't do it  :police:

On another note, it's great to see that people are positive again after a long season...I guess it just takes the next loss for the knives to come back out again

Stop wondering, it will be ok

1) He can't shoot, defenses pack it
2) He has zero heart.
3) He fears big moments and is a basketball coward

Be honest are you old enough to have  watched Scottie Pippen?  My quess is no.

This thread is one for the ages.

In the modern world of immediate gratification, folks get too low (like earlier this season) or high (like now) based on the circumstances of the moment, unfortunately.

It is fairly remarkable just how bad this team was only a few weeks ago, however. Their shots look largely the same as they did 1-2 months ago — going in now when they weren’t before. But defensive effort is good karma, it was bound to start paying off.

Reminds me of the saying "you're never as good as they say you are and you're never as bad as they say you are"  :P

Just wish people were a bit less knee jerky and a bit more ... levelheaded.

Regardless of which direction the season would've gone in, and regardless of where it goes from now, overreactions are the norm in sports.

It's kinda silly.

.edit: oh, the two posts above encapsulate this pretty well too. sorry, started writing this post before dinner and forgot to finish it until after :)

This thread is such a hilarious knee jerk reaction.  Where in reality, we are actually the best team in the NBA (historically great, even?).  If we don't win the next three titles, this team will be a disappointment.

But isn’t devoting thousands of hours watching grown men you don’t know wear your laundry kind of silly in and of itself?

I’m smokeablount, and I’m proud to be silly.

The team absolutely deserved to be torn a new one at this point. I take full credit for the turn around.

If everyone was level headed all the time, this Forum would be a pretty boring place, though. Silly/craziness is a needed ingredient.  :D
Quoting Nick from the now locked Ime thread:

At some point you have to blame the performance on the court on the players on the court. Every loss is not the coach's fault and every win isn't because of the players.

Please accept our thanks.

When would it be convenient to retire your number?
'I was proud of Marcus Smart. He did a great job of keeping us together. He might not get credit for this game, but the pace that he played at, and his playcalling, some of the plays that he called were great. We obviously have to rely on him, so I’m definitely looking forward to Marcus leading this team in that role.' - Jaylen Brown, January 2021

This thread is one for the ages.

People can only react to what they're seeing and for much of the season, it was dysfunction. Thankfully and right now, all seem to have grown into their roles and figured it out, whether it lasts is the next development.
