Celtics have played the most road games in the NBA at 17. The vast majority of the league has played 14 or less road games.

The C's have also played the 6th hardest schedule in the league thus far.

All this with one of their top players, a top 25-28 player in the league, missing half their games due to injury.

And this while still trying to get settled in with a new coach and dealing with other injuries from top 8 players like Horford missing 4 games and Timelord and Richardson missing 7.

Given the circumstances, I'm okay being 13-14. The schedule gets dramatically easier after the first week of January. Get healthy and I think this team will go on an extended winning streak moving up in the ECF standings

Patience people.
Boy, this guy got it back then. TP to him.

This thread is one for the ages.

People can only react to what they're seeing and for much of the season, it was dysfunction. Thankfully and right now, all seem to have grown into their roles and figured it out, whether it lasts is the next development.

Sure but "AMPUTATE THE ARM" is probs an overreaction to a papercut :]

Ah yes.

And back to overreacting to losses.

That took long.

If the Cs lose a seed in the East over a loss like this, it ain't overreaction.

Then they played iso ball again and lost to the worst team in the league. Take the TP back from yourself, guy.

Are we just going to pretend a bottom tier NBA team can't take a game off a top tier NBA team on any given night?

Cuz if that's the reality we're choosing then sure, by all means, blow it up.

I didn't suggest blowing it up -- you said 'overreacting to losses', after another poster wrote a cheeky post about the timing of the thread.

Don't underreact to the loss. It was lousy and could cost them.

I know it sounds harsh, but I really think we ought to re-introduce corporal punishment for losses like this. Maybe 100 lashes for each seed dropped.

Knives back out?

In seriousness this is a painful loss, SEGABABA or no...losing to a team with 12 wins shouldn't happen. Consequence of having too short a rotation and not being able to spread the load on SEGABABAs. These losses are the ones that are really hard to take. I have to watch my replay to comment on the game itself but in the bigger picture this is a terrible loss whether they played well or not.

Let's hope it's a bump. We will get bumps along the way, it's inevitable...just need to make sure they don't fester and last longer than they should. I was worried that the ASB would derail our momentum but it looks like it happened just before it  :-\

This thread has turned to just relax verses don't relax and be mad.

There is no room to relax in the NBA. The competition is too good.

Go C's!

Yeah, because one loss is enough to discount everything else I said in that post.

Oh no everyone. The sky is falling. The Celtics lost their first game in their last 10 games and 5th in their last 21. Let's completely ignore everything they have done for 7 weeks and go back to bashing them.

My word!!!
