Marcus says he can't do anything without the ball in his hands just standing in the corner! He says everyone knows that we are going to Jason and Jaylen.

Ime at the podium now

Says they didn’t take the game seriously and relaxed when they got the lead they started to get too cute and the game came back to bite them

Said he noticed when the bench got too relaxed and thinking the game was over when it wasn’t ans he called a timeout

Said the team lacked a killer instinct when they thought they had the game won and took their foot off the gas and got too cute

Said they need to not feel like they have the game in the bag with an entire quarter left to play

Said things turned when they started to blitz Jayson and they didn’t make the Bulls pay, and turned the ball over and other players not named Jayson just missed shots

Repeated again that once the Bulls tried to take the ball away from Jayson, other players Have to step up but the other players such as JAylen missed shots

Like third game in a row Ime has talked about a lack of focus/taking the game seriously from our guys. Crazy. That is a poisoned culture problem. Guys just don't care enough about winning.

You had mentioned they had too much entitlement earlier, and Forsberg just said the same thing on TV - they just feel very entitled, when they haven’t actually done anything yet.

They clearly seem entitled out there. Unlike the IT-led teams who didn't have as much talent but played hard 25/8, this team thinks it's good enough to play half effort and try to "out talent" other teams, even when they're not THAT talented and haven't done anything to deserve this reputation. Disgusting for a Celtics team.
Recovering Joe Skeptic, but inching towards a relapse.

Smart saying “he can only do so much without the ball in the corner”

Basically criticizing the offense and the playmaking of Tatum and Brown and Ime obviously

Perk saying he should keep those things in house

Sounds like not all is happy in the House of Ime  :o

And saying those guys need to learn to facilitate the ball better … did it in a complimentary way, gave credit, etc. but did call the Jays out a bit too.

Did Smart just say that Jaylen and Jayson don't want to pass the ball? If so, this is very concerning. Seems to me that there is resentment in that locker room

Marcus needs to shut and defend someone. Giving 39 points in the 4th lost that game not Marcus not having the ball in his hands. The wheels are flying off!!!!

This does sound like it's starting to spiral out of control. Smart taking public shots at people isn't exactly going to help the harmony in the locker room lol. That he's the first one to speak out publicly doesn't shock me.

Did he really get on Brown about missing shots? That’s unbelievable…

Ime needs to look in the mirror!

So it’s everyone else’s fault instead of his? If the bench was too relaxed then give Kanter, Parker, and Neismith a chance to play! If you can’t solve JT being blitzed then that’s a big problem because all of the opposing teams will continually do that.
Kanter, Parker and Nesmith aren't going to solve the defensive issues and if anything would make them even worse.

I think the point on Tatum being blitzed is 100% on Ime.  that's why he's the coach -- figure out how to beat the other team's gameplan.  Tatum's never been much of a facilitator and he still isn't.  Jaylen isn't much of one either.  we really don't have a really good one on the team.  in any case, Tatum continuing to be blitzed successfully is on Ime for not figuring out how to deal with that.
They probably won't but it will send locker room a statement that you don't deserve playing time if you feel too entitled or unfocused.
I would rather the coach coach better and get the best players playing better than to purposely lose a game by playing players that suck and don't deserve playing time

Maybe figure out a way to make Chicago pay for blitzing Tatum. Maybe extol the need to get back in transition defense. Maybe put Smart and Brown exclusively on DeRozan and LaVine rather than switching the defender every time. Maybe make sure your best offensive player isn't standing in the corner and not touching the ball or taking a shot for 22 straight minutes. Maybe drawing up better ATOs to make sure the team gets some points after a timeout to stop runs.

How about trying some of that first before subbing in guys that aren't going to help on  the defensive when another team is on a run.

Smart and Ime not off to a good start. First the comments regarding team captains, and now this.

Don't forget the pre-season suspension for being late.

If the players are unfocused they should do the unfocusing on bench.

Having coached these guys, Brad should have known that this is not a roster for a rookie coach. If he was tunned out, what made he think that a rookie coach would be respected? Just the color of his skin?
I was skeptical with the signing. If race was important, maybe we should have gone with chauncey instead, who at least was a great player and not the trash that Ime was as a coach.
Heck, I would prefer Mike Brown or Mark Jackson over Ime
