Ime at the podium now

Says they didn’t take the game seriously and relaxed when they got the lead they started to get too cute and the game came back to bite them

Said he noticed when the bench got too relaxed and thinking the game was over when it wasn’t ans he called a timeout

Said the team lacked a killer instinct when they thought they had the game won and took their foot off the gas and got too cute

Said they need to not feel like they have the game in the bag with an entire quarter left to play

Said things turned when they started to blitz Jayson and they didn’t make the Bulls pay, and turned the ball over and other players not named Jayson just missed shots

Repeated again that once the Bulls tried to take the ball away from Jayson, other players Have to step up but the other players such as JAylen missed shots
Any odd typos are because I suck at typing on an iPhone :D

One word - entitlement.

We keep doing this crap, Ime, because our guys are entitled and haven't been held accountable for years now. They think they don't have to play hard the whole game, because they've never been forced to in recent years. They've formed bad habits, and it's really hard to break them now.

Not that Ime is doing much better, but I'm thinking some tough love is in order. No other way you're going to break this. Tatum wants to complain to the refs, pout, and not run back? Sit him the rest of the half. Brown wants to daydream defensively and get lost when not guarding the ball? Yank him.

I’ve wanted to see some benching for years, it never happens… bench guys that aren’t playing hard.

Maybe we should have gone after Pat Beverley in the offseason instead of Schroder. He seems like the kind of guy we need and it looks like it is working with the wolves, that are actually playing defense and working hard in the games

Nope, Ime will just keep taking about holding players accountable but won't ever bench anyone! Bench all "The starters" for the Magic game.

Did he really get on Brown about missing shots? That’s unbelievable…

How the heck can they relax when I had a strong feeling they’d blow it? Even up 19. 🤦

He said that when they started to blitz Jayson that other players needed to make them pay but JAylen and others were missing their shots at that point

And I am coming around to the argument that Tatum and Brown aren't a great fit together. Too often it seems "your turn/my turn" with them, and it's unclear how much either of them really elevate the play of those around them. Both seem like very good individual stars, but it's unclear to me that they're actually stars that make their team significantly better, even when they're not scoring.

Not sure either (a) which one you trade, or (b) who you'd trade them for that'd be realistic and make sense.

One of the main problems is both play at different paces. Brown thrives with pace in the open court and Tatum is more methodical.

TP. That's a really good point.
Recovering Joe Skeptic, but inching towards a relapse.

A coach who can instill discipline can perhaps make this work. At this point it’s been “your turn, my turn”. And when one of them sits, the opposing team just clamps down on one guy knowing that JT or JB will probably take the shot. This is where we need a real bench. Ours looks good on paper but sadly the coach isn’t maximizing it. Kanter deserves some playing time. He could have at least gotten some much needed boards when the Bulls made their run.

We have more players but coach does play them. Ime smells of desperation.

One fix that could work is a strong PG that runs the team. Celtics spoiled Tatum by trying to make him a point forward when the team had another strong wing on the team. This team should be playing a running style with Tatum Brown TL and co ..not this half court Tatum iso offense.

Forsberg in the postgame made it a point to call out Jaylen getting frozen out in the fourth quarter when he was carrying them all game.  just no clue on offense with this team
