AL is the only one taking personal responsibility!!!

Glad he's stepping up, but it's not Al's fault. This is Tatum, Smart, and Udoka's problem.

This reminds me of the 2018-2019 season, but maybe worse.

Jaylen Brown hit a 3 pointer with 5:23 left in the 3rd period, Celts up 17, and only took 2 more shots the rest of the game. His first of the 2 shots came very late in the 4th, Boston down 118-112.

How, as a coach, can you see this happening and not correct it? And it's happened in 3 games this year. Freezing out your best current offensive player who is red hot, by not even getting him touches for 10-15 minute stretches is just dumb, dumb, dumb coaching.

Ime is looking like a huge mistake.

Then Ime goes out of his way to mention a miss by Jaylen the 4th. Ime is a buck passer!

It's 06-07.

of anyone that's suited up for us this year, Al is the last person to point at as the problem.

issue resolution starts with Ime, Tatum and Smart in that order

Agreed but Al stepped up and took blame on himself like a player should!

These guys blamed it on Kyrie, then on Hayward, then on Brad...at some point Tatum, Brown and Smart all have to look in the mirror and be honest with themselves if they want to win someday.

That ECFs run the first year when Hayward and Kyrie got hurt ruined these guys.

Marcus says he can't do anything without the ball in his hands just standing in the corner! He says everyone knows that we are going to Jason and Jaylen.

And saying those guys need to learn to facilitate the ball better … did it in a complimentary way, gave credit, etc. but did call the Jays out a bit too.

Marcus needs to shut and defend someone. Giving 39 points in the 4th lost that game not Marcus not having the ball in his hands. The wheels are flying off!!!!

We should also note that Marcus did not have a single assist tonight.
Any odd typos are because I suck at typing on an iPhone :D

Nope and when we play Pritchard, which isn't often he can bring his man out pass the 3 point line because of his range.

Brown is too good of a player to allow himself to be taken out of the game.

This is so true. Just run a pick and roll, it can't be that hard.

For all the criticisms of your-turn-my-turn with JT and JB, it's not a bad option for them to do that crunchtime. I'll take a JT or JB pick and roll or post up or even iso over all of our other options.

The problem is Tatum and Brown haven't been good enough ball handlers to handle the pick and roll when the opponent is double teaming them. It's been an automatic turnover, especially for Jayson (who's been in those situations a lot more than Jaylen), which is why Brad preferred to ISO Tatum in late game situations.

Run Jaylen off 1-2 screens from the corner to get him a shot at the FT line, where he's money. Place him at one of the wings instead of buried in a corner on the other side of the action. Marcus complained at tonight's presser about it as soon as he was placed there, but Jaylen has been content to let it continue even though he's a premier NBA scorer!

If Ime would've sent in the reserves when the time was right this would be a moot point. All Chicago did was send in their reserves to do to us what we did to have the lead in the first place, force us to play offense in a half court set and run us in transition. They ran out players off the court and all our shots were short, 7 games in and Udoka doesn't seem to trust the reserves aside from Schroder, Richardson, and Grant to a lesser degree.

Sprinkle a few isos and pick and rolls in between then I suppose, during crunch time. It's now or never, they have to learn to take over.

And the rest of the possessions we can just dump it to Jayson/Jaylen in the high post. Let them create everything.

This season is the Brad Stevens victory tour so far. Brad did more with less last year. We are wasting Horford. Ime doesn't see what's right in front of his eyes. He thinks if he just plays the same guys big minutes that one night it'll have to work. Hunt mismatches, bring in energy players off the bench, try and surprise the other team by doing something different, COACH!!!!
