Tatum is such a weak a** complainer

Do the complaining during the free throw session. They won't overturn a call or make a late whistle while ball is in mid-play. Just don't understand the fascination of complaining to refs while running back in transition on defense. Let the coach take care of that.

Or even worse - complaining to the refs instead of running back on defense.

Last night I saw LaVine get smacked 2-3 times on his way to the hole and finish - not once but a few times. No foul called, he just went about his business - it’s part of the game. Tatum lacks that, for now. And it doesn’t seem strategic - seems he lets his frustration get the better of him.

His skills are other worldly, his composure… not so much.

I'm finally ready to move on from Tatum.  I don't think a team with him as your main guy will ever be good enough.  He just doesn't play in a way that will ever elevate a team unless he's fairly efficient and scores big numbers on any particular night.  I'd be happy to move on with Brown and whichever allstar caliber player trading Tatum would bring as the main guys.  The team needs a reshuffle and the easiest way is to trade the main guy who would bring the biggest return.  I think this would also improve the culture which has remained poor despite a coaching change and watching several players thought to cause chemistry issues leave the team over the last few years.

Last night I turn the game on and the very first thing I see is this.

Yet again, a million dollar move... ten cent shot.

Against a weak, weak defender.

There's gotta be something going on in his head.  I know it's anecdotal, this one play, but it's just so indicative of his finishing ability.

Watch Tatum on the offense, he is trying way too hard to draw contact and loses his balance.  He has lost his handle and the rock doing this or does not recover for a good shot. 

What he should do is play his normal game and play through the contact with his increased strength.   I realize he is trying to draw fouls and feast at the line, but it is not working.

Takes way too many hard over complicated shots.   Put up points like you did at the end of last year, and they will talk about you.   You did not try to bully ball people like your trying this year trying to draw the contact.   Harden plays this type of game and he is adjusting to it as well.  Play your normal game and finish hard on your shots and play through contact.   Watch him and you will see him try to draw contact, the trouble is refs are allowing contact this year with the new emphasis....

TP this is exactly what I noticed about him on drives this year. Which is why his FG% from 0-3 ft has dropped

Tatum is figuring out how to fit into the new system and harness his skills. It's been ugly so far but I remain confident in his ability to figure it out and be an MVP candidate. If he's still shooting under .400 in January, I'll start worrying but that seems unlikely.
