Yes he’s an amazing offensive talent. So much good that he does.

But good lord he is horrible at finishing at the rim. So freaking weak. I’ve never seen a 6’9” or 6’10” guy miss so many shots at the rim.

And even when he’s not even touched he whines worse than LeBron. And gets T’d up for it.

Just stop Tatum. You’re freaking embarrassing.

Yes, yes, to all the apologists. He’s a generational talent. I get it. No other player could score 50... whatever.

He’s also got faults and he’s a whiny little b#@!§ so many times.

Haha. Sorry.

I truly am a fan. He’s a good dude. And crazy talented.

But I just can’t stand when someone looks so scared taking it to the rim 80% of the time and flinches.

I love it when he takes it strong. But he’s always been so skittish since his rookie year.

I thought all the off season weight training was meant to help him absorb contact and finish better.

At least he should just stop complaining.

I hear you, I too thought he needed to get stronger physically, but it appears it might be more than that.

Since he’s been in the league.  You’d think he’d stop by now

last year Tatum hit shots from 0-3 feet at 73.5%.  As a comparison, Brown has never been higher than 70.3% in any season in his career.  James Harden, regarded as one of the best scorers and finishers, has hit 70% just once in his career and he was still playing for the Thunder then.  Now 73.5% is Lebron's career average, but he didn't higher than than until his 7th year in the league.

There are so many takes like this with Tatum that just aren't borne in reality.  Enjoy Tatum, players like him don't come around very often.
2025 Historical Draft - Cleveland Cavaliers - 1st pick

Starters - Luka, JB, Lebron, Wemby, Shaq
Rotation - D. Daniels, Mitchell, G. Wallace, Melo, Noah
Deep Bench - Korver, Turner

Yep, it's absurd. Firing off at the hip without even looking to see whether or not what was being said was accurate bothers me.

Cite your stats the truth is the guy misses a lot of gimmies at important times in the games. Roll out more stats that don’t impact winning.

Actually, I am curious to see if there is any stats on the “and 1” opportunity driving to the basket, among those star players.

Tatum does not relish contact like the old school PFs like MCHale, Natt, etc.

Those power forwards don't really exist any more, sadly.

Kevin McHale would have been a cool coaching choice

With his length, JT could have easily got more and 1 opportunities taking it to the basket.

Yup McHale or Carlisle.

Boston is not where you go to cut your teeth as a coach. The organization better hope that this turns around quickly..it could get fan ugly.

When he complains a lot, he won’t.
