They've got to take another step against this ridiculous foul baiting. They made it a non-shooting foul when Paul whips his arms around like that, but its not a basketball move. It should be a no-call when Paul does that until he decides to actually make a basketball play.

He did that several times in the last series against the Pelicans in a key juncture of the game and got into the bonus and got free throws off it.

It cheapens the game and should be taken away.

This whole game has been called poorly. 40 fouls called with 6 minutes left in third. They are actually pretty even, which suggests they have called it the same cause the suns have several big men that completely outMatch kleber and Bertans (softest player in nba)z

Agreed. They need to call it more like the Olympic refs did.

24/4/6 for Luka in the 1st half.  Suns have no answer for him.  Mavs up 2 and Brunson is 1 of 5 for 2 points.  If Brunson ever gets going, Suns will be in trouble.

This is little silly to just point at Brunson here. Booker and Paul combined for 17 points and 40% shooting. If they get going mavs are in trouble.

yup... ;D

Is this really a foul on ayton? You have to give the guy room to shoot. Powell was in restricted area and moving completely
Out of position
It's the leading with the elbow that the league wants to get rid of. It's dangerous and unnecessary. You do have to allow a guy room to shoot, but the guy shooting also has to go up in a natural shooting motion. If Ayton had just gone straight up it would have been a defensive foul

I don’t really understand how you can not lead with your elbow on a pull-up. Like wrist first? I appreciate the explanation Gouki
On a pull-up it's different, because that is a normal basketball motion. Swinging elbow-first on a Euro-step is not

Mavs are obviously still in the game but to anyone that watches basketball you can’t be surprised that two guys making all nba and probably future hall of gamers scored 16 this quarter on much better shooting while the guy that has never made an all star game and averages 16 has 6 points on 2-8 shooting.

I think my biggest takeaway at the moment is how lousy mitchell and 35 Conley are on d.

Yeah it’s a clinic. I would say Paul is a top 5 player right now. He is unstoppable and a brilliant passer.

His mid range game is just stupid money. I do hate his foul-baiting though.

I think Dallas will win one or two games, but Phoenix progresses. Dallas really struggles when a team decides to double Luka (especially with people like Bridges), because Brunson and Dinwiddie are streaky

I mean Bismack is dunking all over them at this point. Teams can’t not have a single starter level frontcourt player and compete.

Tally for second half 41 points for Booker and Paul on 65% shooting
Brunson 5 points 30% shooting

Narrator: the suns were not in trouble

Dallas wins one of two games at home, but they should disappear in 5 games.

Moranis, your Mavs are getting beat up pretty good…

At some point you have to blame the performance on the court on the players on the court. Every loss is not the coach's fault and every win isn't because of the players.

Ayton, McGee and Biyombo is a really powerful athletic trio. Powell is okay, but Kleber is more of a 4. They're just too small
