Is there a better story line for the NBA finals than Jayson Tatum versus Luka Doncic?

Having experienced Nick Nurse stepping inbounds to trick one of our guys into passing to him, coaches that employ cheap tricks will forever be a pet peeve of mine.

What did I miss? Did Kidd do something?

Jeff Van Gundy on Lowe post favors Philly over Miami.

Both favor Celtics over Bucks. JVG calls Celtics the best team in playoffs.

It's tough. The Sixers-Heat series I think can go either way. Sixers have more high-end talent, but Miami has the better coach, are more disciplined and more physical. Plus Miami has HCA.

I say Celtics in 7, and Sixers in 6
I think Celtics in 6 and Sixers in 6.  If both teams play to their potential, both series could be done in 5.  Middleton out is a huge loss for the Bucks.  The Celts should be able to make Giannis miserable like they did with KD.  Just don't fall in love with the 3-point shot.

The Heat won't play the Sixers more physical than the Raptors did and the Heat have exploitable players.  Bam can't defend Embiid straight-up.  Harden may look like Houston-Harden going against Herro, Robinson and Strus.  Maxey will be a tough cover too.  The Heat need to shoot 3s very well and exploit the Sixers bench.

Yikes.  I know we sometimes here the phrase “survive and advance” but this is a new meaning of “survive”.

Yeah, orbital fractures are no joke at all. Makes that series against Miami a very tough out

Wait what?? OMG that's brutal news when you consider he's also dealing with the thumb injury  :(

Hope Embiid gets better. Hating all these injuries so far in the playoffs.

So I'm guessing Embiid will be out at least the first two games of the Heat series?

They haven't stated a timetable yet but I think Game 1 starts in 3 days for PHI. Doesn't sound like enough time to heal. Plus orbital fractures are no joke at all.

Update: Oh yikes, apparently on Twitter some people are mentioning that Embiid suffered a similar injury in 2018 to his other eye (orbital fracture) and he missed 3 weeks. Reading online, it seems if he doesn't need surgery ASAP then he could return in a little over a week. That seems to be best case scenario BUT he also has a mild concussion and the thumb injury so I imagine that'll factor in too

I could be wrong but I think that's it for him unless the 6ers can get by the Heat.

Yeah I'm going to wait to see the extent of the injury and timeline but if he's out for this series, then it's easy for me to say Heat in 6 or maybe even just 5 games. Harden isn't carrying the Sixers as the alpha
