That’s why you don’t keep your starters in in garbage time.
Agree with that but I can understand why Doc would have some concerns.  If there is a team that could blow a 30pt lead with 4 minutes left, it's the Sixers without Embiid on the court.

Are you being serious with defending doc for having him out there up 30? Please tell me you are kidding this is literally very basic math. Everyone was screaming at the tv In Philly starting at 5 minutes. It’s just dumb coaching. If it was 20 you could make a case but 30 is just flat out inexcusable.

Philly is out..no way they can beat Miami now

Yeah I'm going to wait to see the extent of the injury and timeline but if he's out for this series, then it's easy for me to say Heat in 6 or maybe even just 5 games. Harden isn't carrying the Sixers as the alpha

Who even plays center for the 6ers?

Miami will probably just go with 3 forwards. Bam plays center and he’s 6’9”. I would imagine the 76ers start Niang(6’7”/240lbs) with Harden, Maxey, Harris and Green. Should be a competitive series even if Embiid is out.

Yep Roy, was literally texting my Philly friends about this at the time. When it is a 30 point game with 4-5 minutes left it is absolutely insane. You add In the fact a team is chippy and their season is over and it’s down right malpractice as a coach. Just to put this this in perspective 4 minutes left is 240 seconds. They are down 12-15 possessions depending on a few threes. If you just hold the ball 6 times and don’t even shoot it is 140 seconds. The clock runs on made basketballs. The math just flat out doesn’t add up. Very very dumb doc (and other coaches that do this)

Russel adds nothing to to wolves - b Clark is a good rebounder I watched him get clutch rebound after rebound.

KAT throwing this game? Lol

I never want to see another trade idea sending him to the Celtics. No thank you.

Obviously not the Jay's, not even Smart and Time Lord

How about Al Horford plus some picks? Or the rest of the roster haha.

Yeah. 15 points, fine.  It’s the playoffs and it’s worth the risk.  20, it probably depends a bit on the teams.  30 points?  No way.

So Nikola Jokic averaged 31/13/6 on 58/28/85 shooting. I think he's earned the benefit of the doubt, namely from those who were critical of his performance in the first game or two.

Wolves only have themselves to blame honestly. Grizzlies played well but the Wolves blew so many big leads during the series (especially in Game 3) and choked down the stretch in like 3 of the games. Good run though and they have a lot to build off of.

I know Round 1s aren't always the most exciting in the NBA, but have to admit this one was pretty fun. Lot of good back-and-forth, good games, some fierceness and trash talk here and there which I don't mind (as long as it doesn't go too far or get too personal).

I am kind of surprised there were no Game 7s. Also, funny how literally the only series that ended in a sweep was Brooklyn-Boston when almost everyone expected that series to go like 6-7 games.

I grew more and more frustrated watching the Wolves, particularly on offense. There was so much your-turn-my-turn, hero-ball, iso-ball, etc. It gets kinda' of tiring watching KAT bowl his way into the paint slowly and watching him bounce off defenders, forcing the refs to making block/charge calls. I got tired of the lack of side-to-side movement, the lack of cutting, the lack of successful drives into the paint that put the defense at a disadvantage, and the lack of good open shots.

This kind of offense got them into the playoffs, but it will stop Edwards and McDaniels' growth as players, and will ultimately stall the upward trajectory of this team. In my opinion, they are at high risk for missing the playoffs next year with a frustrated team, ala the Knicks this year.

And I am thoroughly unimpressed with the Grizzles. I think Morant is very stoppable in the playoffs when the game slows down and defenses are locked in (this is a classic issue for most small, driving guards in the playoffs). I think Bane and Dillon are solid players, but they have too much responsibility for their skill sets. I'm starting to think Jackson is all hype/potential, no actual on-court production. I like their team, but in my opinion their record is higher than their actual talent, and they will disappoint.

I predict Warriors in the gentleman's sweep. There will be some good highlights and the Grizzles will throw a few good punches, but ultimately the games won't be very close.

If the Wolves could move DLo that would help. He gets in the way of Edwards and it needs to be Edwards team. I think Edwards and Towns can work, but I'd listen to offers on Towns as well if I was the Wolves.

If they could Gobert for Russell (obviously a 3rd team and more) Inthink the Wolves would really escalate a tier.  That is one of the few teams I think Gobert would really help and a trio of Edwards, Towns, Gobert would be a real contender as Edwards keeps developing

Utah has problems of their own, can't see them moving Gobert without getting a top-tier a center back.

Maybe the Wolves could trade D-Lo back to where he started, LAL.

That's pretty interesting. Gobert could basically sit in the dunker spot like Vanderbilt on offense.

But that defense really doesn't make much sense to me. Gobert is ok at running around and chasing guys outside (I think he's overrated there) and Towns is terrible. They'd give up a lot of threes.

Seems like the recent reports say Embiid could actually return this series, maybe as early as Game 3.

He likely can avoid surgery. The thing is, he'll still have to be in the concussion protocol so he'll miss Games 1 and 2 anyways, but there's optimism he can come back later in the series.

How about this one

Minnesota - Gobert, Oubre
Utah - Hayward, Beasley
Charlotte - Russell

or slightly different

Utah - Hayward, Beasley, Rozier
Charlotte - Russell, McDaniels
2025 Historical Draft - Cleveland Cavaliers - 1st pick

Bigs -
Wings -  Lebron James
Guards -
