I see Brooklyn imploding in the playoffs. Two complete head cases, that haven't even played together yet with only a month to go before the playoffs, being that important, spells major troubles in my book.
It kind of feels like Brooklyn has been slowly imploding all season and it doesn't feel like the Harden trade changed that.  The stars have not played together so I understand the optimists, but something still seems off with that team.  Simmons doesn't want to play, Harris now ruled out for the season.

On another note, I see it's Lakers-Warriors tonight on ABC.

Lol the Lakers have a national game like every day now it seems. Not that I mind, I love the local coverage more but it's kinda hilarious watching the Lakers embarrass themselves every game on ESPN/TNT/ABC

Also right now the Pelicans are only 0.5 back of LAL for the 9 seed

The main problem is there's only, what, 5 teams that run fully on west-coast time? Not a lotta choices for the 10:30 slots.

The Lakers are always on and they stink!

The 10th placed Hawks are 11 games out of first but the 10th place Lakers are 22.5 games out of first.

 ;D
The Lakers are worse than the Hawks but the Suns are also 9 games better than the Heat, so a bit disingenuous with your statement

The pot calling the kettle black.

Heheh this got a chuckle out of me

Jpotter pretty much echoed my thoughts, but I agree. The standings right now look so good for Boston. Obviously we still want them to go up another spot and get the 4 seed, but either way as it sets up you could have the C's playing the Bulls or Cavs 1st round, then likely the Heat in the 2nd round. Ideally we can have HCA in the 1st round through the 4 seed if we can pass one more team.

In the meantime, PHI and MIL will battle each other in the 2nd round and knock the other out.

Another possible scenario is that the play-in tournament plays out and Brooklyn finishes the 7 seed, which could likely mean they play Philly in the 1st round. That could make things spicy in the East Playoffs.

This isn't to say there's an easy path, but the key should be to try and avoid all of BKN/PHI/MIL until the ECF. Even though CLE, CHI and MIA have their strengths, they definitely aren't unbeatable and I think the C's have a good chance against any of them. Even BKN if 1 of Irving/Durant can't play I think they could actually beat BKN as I don't see Simmons really having a huge effect in the playoffs given his limitations.

I think the Celts can move up to #3 if everything breaks right. Chicago has a brutal schedule and a fairly ho hum net rating, and the Bucks have been thoroughly mediocre over their last 20 games.

Yeah but then they would be facing PHI in all likelihood in the 2nd round. Pass.

Oh yeah, TP that's a good point. But still, they could flex games out and they don't want to because obviously LA has the market/ratings, but it's funny to see the collapse anyways

I’d rather play Miami but I’m fine with Philly too. I’d also rather play Philly that Brooklyn, who could be our opponent instead of Miami.

I think the two teams we should try to avoid for as long as possible is PHI and BKN. I want to avoid MIL as well but I personally don't view them as unbeatable and yes, they have been a bit sluggish this season (idk why). Still, I'd HATE if we played the Bucks in the 1st round

The thing is, it's just hard to get a read on Brooklyn. Kyrie's vaccine status, Durant's health, does Simmons play and if he does how does he look, their current seeding, and also how does the play-in tournament actually play out (does BKN get 7 or 8 seed).

Okay, full stop, wind it back.

I just realized you'd said it's the ABC game. At 8:30.

The Sixers and Heat are playing, and they giving us that???

Maybe they thought the LeBron/Curry historic rivalry finals rematch is still hype hence Lakers/Warriors. And ofc, can't discount the other members of the "Big 3" in Westbrook and Davis and on the other side Thompson and Green.

But yah lol

Harden's out tonight and the Sixers@Heat game hasn't been very good so far.
