I can't believe people are still bemoaning the Bane trade.  Anyway, we got 2 second round picks for pick #30.  What exact picks did we get?  Have we used any of the picks yet?

The Lakers haven’t had a pre-season this bad since their last ill fated attempt at creating a super-team in 2012-13.

Seriously, they are 0-4 and currently losing to the GSW who are without, Curry, Green, Thompson and Wiseman…not to mention that the Lakers core are healthy and playing big minutes.

The one notable thing I would take away is that westbrook is struggling bad playing with Lebron. He has an absolute insane amount of turnovers. Will be interesting to see if that continues in regular season.

I’ve been selling hard on the Lakers.  There’s no easy (read: 100% legal so I don’t lose my government job) way for me to put a decent sum of money on the under for the Lakers win title this year, while living in Mass, is there?

Wish I’d been able to figure out how to place this bet.

I didn’t realize Evan was having such a bad stretch with the Knicks.

East having a nice day. 76ers trying to make it a perfect 4-0 day against west. There are just a lot more bad teams in the west, Pelicans, rockets, Spurs, okc, kings. Minnesota may not actually be bad. Only teams that truly are bad in East are magic and pistons. It is possible cavs may join them with Sexton out for year and Mobley out for a while, but I really liked them acquiring Rubio as a fit next to garland.

In that Celts-Cavs game, I was pretty impressed with how Garland has emerged without Sexton around, and Mobley looks legit.

Lakers currently down 4 early second quarter. I would not be absolutely shocked if they lost, but do think  they will probably win.

They seem to have righted the ship the second half of the quarter, in large part to Cade throwing non stop bricks. He is 3-12 and 0-6 from three. Wonder if they wish they took Mobley.
